I'll have a book done tomorrow, not sure if I'll manage a second one before the end.

I'm going on a week-long vacation to Ireland, starting today. I have a book or two with me, but won't be online as much.

I can do Tolkien's Two towers as my next read, but it might take me a few days.

Laura wrote: "For the geisha task, here's what other teams have done:
Belem Tower, Icono Tower: Memoirs of a Geisha
Lotus Tower: Audition
Empire State Building: [book:Geisha, a Life|52..."I can recommend Memoirs of a Geisha, I thought it was a great book.
Priya wrote: "Corrected the edition. It is an app versus site issue!"Thank you. So irritating that it can't work properly=(

@Tricia, do you mind if I move Shield of sparrows to P in Japan in stead? That way we can use Priya's book for the D. It is a non-fiction, so it has less options.

@Priya, can you check if you've shelved the correct edition of Mindhunter? Planningsheet says ebook and 444 pages, but shelf version says paperback and 397 pages.

@jacqueline, can you check if you've shelved the correct edition of Come As You Are? There's no snow on the cover of the one currently on your shelf.

@Sam, you've added the hardcover of The Hunger of the Gods to your shelf with 633 pages, but listed the paperback with 630 pages on the spreadsheet. Which is correct?

I think the "meatball" in text task might be a tricky one, so I had a look at what the other teams have read and here are some of the books if anyone is interested:
Someone Like YouTruly, DeviousRanger HankThe Briar Club

@priya, do you have a page number for the book with Quinoa quote?
Jacqueline wrote: "I definitely need help again documenting books…
I finished Strike of Black Masks: The Galatian Exchange on 7/6 368 pages
same cast of characters adding more Bain, Kelsie Kemisty, Rex and Queen A..."@jacqueline, book three and four of The Galatian Exchange is missing from the tower shelf, would you mind adding them? =)
Aiswrya wrote: "Also, I had claimed the ocean on cover task for australia, but my reading has slowed down due to work. If someone else has a book they'd like to red, feel free to claim that task."Tara's One Golden Summer has ocean on cover.
Jacqueline wrote: "It was the Kindle edition for Coven Tendency."Great. All your books have been added to the spreadsheet.
Jacqueline wrote: "@captains
Still mini vacation. I have about six books not logged onto book chart. I am on a borrowed iPad that somehow will not allow me to enter the books on the chart.
Could someone enter the in..."@Jacqueline, you've shelved the Kindle edition with 417 pages of The Coven Tendency, not the Hardcover with 384 pages. Which one did you read?

@melissa, for Tell Me What You Did, did you read the paperback or listen to the audio? You've shelved the paperback, but listed the narrator as a letter option. We can only use the narrator's name if the audio was used.

@namita, Aura of Night has the word "gravy" in it. The part of the sentence I can see is "...gravy made the whole thing delicious." I can't see which page it is. Can you check if you can find the page or location for this word, then we can use it for mini4 =)

A fourth mini challenge has been announced; you can read more about it
here.
The theme is food, and it has two parts. There's a list of words we must find in the text, on the cover, or in the title, as well as a spell-out of several food dishes from different countries. We can work on both parts simultaneously.
Banked books are allowed in this mini, so for those of you with banked books, it would be great if you could check if the books contain any of the words we're looking for, since that is probably the most challenging part. 10 points per task.
The tasks will be added to the planning sheet as soon as one of the captains with more Excel skills than me have the time.
I have probably forgotten to mention something, but all the info is in the link on the top.
Tricia wrote: "Can one of the captains take a look at this and tell me if you think the spire in the background counts as a church or cathedral on the cover? "Sadly, we think it is too vague to see what building it is.
