Haymitch is an interesting character. He may not be very likable in the beginning, but he grows on you. Despite being drunk and harsh, he is realistic about the situation they're in and does what he can for them to survive. Considering he has been through it himself and has had to watch his tributes die several times, I'm not surprised he hides a bottle most of the time.

I dreaded reading this part, knowing how emotional it would be. It also makes me in awe of how words read or spoken can create such strong emotion. The movie has acting and music to help amplify the feeling, but in the book the author manages the same with just writing.

I agree. Penelope and Colin's book was one of the books I liked the least in the series, can't quite put my finger on why. But I enjoyed the first four episodes of the season on Netflix.

The first thing I noticed is how laser-focused Katniss' mind is. First on providing for and protecting her family, her sister especially. She thinks of nothing else, doesn't see Gale's feelings, and jumps in to save Prim without thinking. Then survival; she knows she can't cry because it would be a sign of weakness to the others. It must be exhausting to always be this focused.

I read most genres, but my favorites are urban fantasy, romance, and thrillers. I have a tendency to reread series I love many times. I've read the HG books once or twice, seen the movies several times.

Edited in the post =)

What are the things to do in Bergen in April? We have a couple of days to get from Oslo to Bergen before getting on the ferry."
It depends on how active you want to be. There are many nice hikes up the mountains surrounding Bergen. Or you can take the cable car to Ulriken or Fløibanen funicular to Fløyen and walk back down. There are some museums and an aquarium. Bryggen and the fish market are popular attractions, as well as the stave church nearby.

@Keely, despite living in Norway (close to Bergen), I've never been in Trondheim=P I want to travel there some day, I've heard only nice things.
I like listening to rock, some of the classics are really good, but pop-rock is probably more my style.
My favourite reading genres are romance, fantasy, and thrillers, but I dabble in almost every other genre, especially during these challenges. I'm a mood reader, so haven't planned what book I'll start with.
