Finished The Metamorphosis by Kafka as a captain on another team said it worked for a book starting text with "one". Fairly quick read, but definitely not what I'm used to reading.

Hopefully I'll have the Antarctica book finished today or tomorrow. Despite having a lot of action straight from the get-go, it is quite slowgoing plotwise...

Welcome Priya and Namita! Useful information and a link to the planning spreadsheet can be found in the first few posts of this thread. If you have any questions, just ask =)

I can probably increase my bpm to 10.

I can probably start
Ice Station tomorrow for the Antarctica task.
Tricia wrote: "Alex Michaelides is Greek, so if anybody has The Silent Patient, The Maidens, or The Fury on their TBR, those would work. I can't find an easy list of other Greek Authors anywhere."Just checked him out. He was born and raised in Cyprus (mid-level country), not Greece.
But The Silent Patient is on the Foreign Lands list, so I started reading it.

Magic Triumphs is done; it can be moved as needed.
I have
Pachinko by
Min Jin Lee at my dad's house. I think the author was born in South Korea. I can read that, but I won't start until Thursday at the earliest.

If Robin's book doesn't work: In Magic Triumphs there are several generations in the cast. Kate, her father ,and her son. Not sure whether this or published in August is the most difficult.

Tara, does Saltwater work for anything else or has an character starting with I?
I re-read the spelling rules and we're not allowed to use setting in this challenge.
"Spell-it-Out Rules: Use the first letter in the book’s title, series name, author’s first/last name, character’s first/last name, narrator’s first/last name (if listening to an audiobook), or translator’s first/last name (if reading a translation). You may ignore (or not) “A,” “An,” or “The” at the start of titles."
EDIT: It can work for colours on cover, so it has been moved there.
Aiswrya wrote: "I’m getting started on my author born in India book - The Immortals of Meluha. Has anyone read it? New to me author, but my aunt has great things to say about this series. We shall see."Haven't read it, but looks intriguing. Let us know what you think=)
Ashley wrote: "I'm more than halfway through Disappearing Earth, but I probably won't finish until tomorrow (I hope). Not sure about The Light Pirate, I will trying to finish tonight or tomorrow, but I never get ..."I want to see that movie as well. Have fun!

I hope to finish the wedding book this weekend. If anyone has a book published in August, feel free to grab that task, I haven't started that book yet.

I think Iron and Magic can work for India's wedding task. The MCs have to get married early in the book, so they technically go to their wedding. And almost everyone else who is a part of the book attends the wedding.

I just started Iron and Magic today, still 6,5 hours left. Not sure if I'll manage to listen to that much in 24 hours.

All Quiet on the Western Front - Erich Maria Remarque was born in Osnabrück, Kingdom of Prussia, ..."Google Maps says Osnabrück is in Germany today, so I also think it works.

Tara and Tricia, both of you have a book for Chile on our itinerary #1. We must have 11 different countries on each itinerary. Is there any chance one of you can postpone and move your book to the second itinerary?
