That's great. I keep hoping we'll get a new monster - I guess we have a few tries left.

We got Lamia again. 3 tasks are taken care of by Christina's book(s) - feel free to switch the chosen one if you want Christina.

We do have a book that fits #1, but I didn't put it in since we need a night sky on the cover book still and should see page # on that.

1.) Read a book between 200 and 299 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with the night sky on the cover.

Good to see you Ashlee! I feel like The Master and Margarita was a hard read - definitely not a rut-breaker. It's ok you didn't finish it.

That's an incredible number of pages! Wow nice!

I'll have it done and get a new monster before bed - the book is a pretty quick read - it's not too deep :)

I put it in there - but if someone has a yellow cover you've read, etc. feel free to replace mine!

I could probably read pretty quickly.

Renata - awesome find to get a prison + bird book - nice job!

Sounds like a good plan. And if you'd rather use that for 'prison" instead of my 230 page book, I'm perfectly ok with not using my 230 page book for anything unless it's needed. I know we have a pretty high book count right now.

I'm almost done with my stone book.
The next one I'm reading (fairly short) has someone in prison at the first of the book. I wonder if we should use that one for the prison book, and put The Toll for the -between 500 and 650 pages prompt, since that is a harder (and more time consuming) one to fill? But whatever you all think.

That was a great call Alyana - Can you put in the examples of something physical is destroyed and character ignores important advice? Then we can turn it in and get another monster.

Oh interesting. Hmmm...I'll take a look in a second with that one and see what we c an do.

I put the book I finished today in for #1 and #4 and 5. It MIGHT fit #3 (rock on cover)?? It has a diamond on the O so I guess it depends on if it counts as a rock - what do you think?

Argus



Argus has been seen on your lands with a case of the dry-eyes. Very hard to kill but can be distracted with white cows. He is vigilant and a great bodyguard as he doesn't need to sleep by only resting a few eyes at a time. Enjoys a good olive, may look for him taking a respite in an olive tree grove.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 500 and 650 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with at least 2 pairs of eyes visible on cover.
3.) Read a book with a rock on the cover.
4.) Read a book with character works in protective profession (e.g., police, security guard, bodyguard).
5.) Read a book with "olive" found in text.
