I finished Dare to Love just earlier. Was ok for a contemporary romance.ETA: Can also be used for O - char Olivia
My books for this week:S - Woman in a Sheikh's World by Sarah Morgan (author)
T, H - Frost Burned by Patricia Briggs (series Mercy Thompson, char Adam Hauptman)
I, R, T - Dare to Love by Carly Phillips (char Ian Dare, char Riley Taylor)
I - In Bed With the Devil by Lorraine Heath
Y - Blood Lines by Eileen Wilks (char Lily Yu)
O - The Wives of Bowie Stone by Maggie Osborne (author)
I had some free time - baby didn't have a good night and I lost sleep halfway. I was able to finish How to date a nerd just now. It was horrible. I mean the nerdy parts were done well but the whole waffling that the female MC did for the first half just got on my nerves. I so wanted to DNF but it works for a challenge and I didn't want to find another. The only saving grace was it is a quick read. It works for C or H.
I finished Mystic and Rider - works for C (char - Camonn, T - series Twelve Houses). It's a Epic Fantasy Romance, light on the romance. It was a very engrossing read. I really loved the characters - the author shows the progress of friendship between the six main characters very well. Definitely interested in continuing the series.I've started
which can work for either H or C (author Cassie Mae). I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish before tomorrow morning.
I finished The Winter King on 20 August - liked the setting, characters, plot etc. 3 stars. Also done with The Warlord Wants Forever. Not a great or even a good intro to the series. Hero was asshole-ish. The heroine otoh, didn't feel like an immortal. The whole gang of Valkyrie felt a little ditzy but I'm trying to reserve judgement. I saw too late that a lot of reviews are recommending to read the first book before this one. Oh well. I might continue the series if mood strikes.
I finished
on 17th August (works for C, K (char Kit)). It was good for the most part except for the ending which was rushed. Also finished
on 18th. Works for K, L (char Lepida), T (Thea). I liked this one too though the Roman portion was too violent at times for me.I've now started
- it's a bit long so it might take me two days to visit. I'm going to the library finally today after 3 weeks. Yay!
Mollie, Game of Thrones is a looong book. I hope you enjoy reading it. Congrats on your e-reader! They really make reading so much easier. Which one is it?TC, don't feel bad. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
My religious occasions are almost over except for one which thankfully shouldn't be too taxing. I think I spent most of my last week cooking. I'm glad that's over.
The books I'm definitely reading are:Come Back to Me by Mila Gray - C (title) & K (char Kit)
Mistress of Rome by Kate Quinn - K (author) or T (char Thea) or L (char Lepida)
Mystic and Rider by Sharon Shinn - K (char Kirra) & C (char Connal) & T (char Tayse)
The Winter King by C.L. Wilson - C (author), K - (char Khamsin Coruscate)
Our next genre is Chick Lit. I was just thinking the other day that I had lots of C. Let me go see where those books are now.
Ok then, I'm reading
(fits R, A, S) and then
(fits F, A, S). I will hopefully finish off
(fits B, T) before Sunday. I have four chapters remaining on the audio. I might not be able to check in tomorrow, Friday. If I can't, I'll do an update by Saturday.
I finished the the Apprentice. I liked the addition to the series - I was able to connect with Jane better in this book. She's really amazing. I'm definitely picking up the next book in the series. tc, is there any letter than we need or can I just read any book? I'm still debating on my next book.

Hoping the two books I've started wil..."Thanks, Ange. Last week for a really good one for the team as well. We're doing a great job with the reading!
