I finished
The Surgeon - I really liked the book; they mystery was written well. I was completely engrossed in it. The only not-so-great point was Jane Rizzoli - she was a little prickly but I admired her determination. I'm still reserving judgement about her. I already downloaded the next book in the series - another good series that I'm looking forward to read.

Karen, Susan Elizabeth Philips is the name of the author. Sorry, I should have been more clear. Does middle name of author count?

Thanks, TC. The series just came on my radar and my library had a ready copy. I'm getting lucky with my books.
I have a question: Will Susan Elizabeth Philips count for letter E?

From the reviews I've read, it says she'll appear only in the second book. Apparently, there's a TV series based on this series..?! I didn't know. Anyway this is the review I'm basing it on :
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...If you shift my Abercrombie book from G to D, the Safe-Keeper's to I, then the Surgeon can fit G. Sorry for the trouble TC but I'm really excited to read the book now and I'd rather not put it off.

Oh yeah, I was about to ask that, TC. I thought the game has 2 more weeks left. I would like to continue with the game as well. I'm having so much fun with it. And it's so good for my reading and TBR. I would definitely like to continue as well.

I finished up
by Graeme Simsion - works for D (char Don), R (title), G (author)
by Jacqueline Kelly - works for E (title), M (char Margaret).
Planning to start
by Tess Gerritsen - will work G, R (char name - Rizzoli)

I finished two books so far - both have a lot of characters than can work for us:
- This took me a while to get through because it had a lot of gore that I had to stop reading and it was slightly long. It took me a while to get into but once I did, I really liked it. I would definitely be continuing the series.(works for G (Glokta), L (Logen), D (Dogman), M (Marvoria))
- A very quiet fantasy that I really enjoyed. A perfect counterpoint to the Abercrombie book. (D - Damiana, R - Reed, I - Isadora, A - Angeline)
My next two books:
-
The Rosie Project-
The Evolution of Calpurnia TateI can probably get to more this week. It looks like next week will be slow for me.
Turtlecollector wrote: "Should I break down and buy Magic Breaks? I was waiting for my library's copy, but I keep seeing rave reviews of it."When is your library getting it? But I think you should probably get it - it's worth buying.

Aright go ahead, TC. I checked the rules of the team challenge and it meets the page count.

TC, since there are a lot of A & M, I was thinking, will
The Safe-Keeper's Secret work better for us? I got it off library and I just noticed it has character Damiana. It will also work for our other team challenge so I can change it easily. I can read Firewalker later.

I just found two D books:
Master of Crows by
Grace Draven The Rosie Project by
Graeme Simsion - works for R, G and D (char name Don)
It is doubtful that I'll finish all of these books but I'll try my best.

Yes!! I have a middle grade book that I need to get off my TBR -
that will work for E.
Other books I have planned for now :
by Joe Abercrombie - works for A, G - character name inspector Glotka
by Allyson James - works for A, M - char Mick
by
Tess Gerritsen - works for G, series name R.
I'll also look for books that will work for D

Oh oops. Sorry, I didn't see that TC.

TC, what if we put Magic Breaks for R char Roland and shift Ange's N book to the second read through? That way we need not be dependent on Cheryl's book to complete a read through. Or am I missing something?

I couldn't start
Firewalker when I wanted to. It worked for another team challenge and there was still time to go. Instead I finished
Her Kind of Trouble by
Sarah Mayberry for S. That concludes my reading for this week.
My next week is going to be busy as well. I'm try to read as much as I can but I'm not sure how much I can.
Have a great day, ladies! (good night, Karen)

I finished
Unveiled by Courtney Milan. It will work for U, R, A. I really liked this book and Courtney Milan is becoming an auto buy author for me. Her historicals almost always work for me.

The last book had so much relationship angst that I didn't like it that much. This one, though, made up for it. I stayed up till 1 in the morning to finish it. I couldn't put it down!

Oh so sad to hear that, Karen. The cover looks so good though.
I finished
Magic Breaks. Works for A (author), N (char Andre Nash), R (char Roland), T (char Ted). I loved this book. I'm still on a high from this one and I'm trying so hard not to do a full re-read. I really can't wait for the next book.
I have a S book -
Firewalker (series name - Stormwalker) that I'll start tomorrow. I'll try to read a book for U today.

I finished
. I really liked it. The prosser was so very readable that it was easy to lose track of time. I'm so glad I picked it up as a freebie. I'll definitely be continuing the series.
I finally started
. It has so many rave reviews that I'm to excited to read. Abs I've tried so bad to avoid all reviews.

Great going, TC!! Awesome reading!
I, on the other hand, didn't manage to get any reading done today. I had
Magic Breaks on hand but RL is soooo in the way. I haven't been able to read for an hour continuously. (or even listen. It's raining so no walks either).
I've started
A Hidden Fire instead. Maybe I'll get some reading time later.
