I've started it just earlier today and I also might not get any reading done tomorrow - last minute plan to visit a relative. I'll check in tomorrow.

Oh OK, Saphirablue. It looks like this week's going to be busy for me so my reading progress will be slow. I'm excited to start this tomorrow.

Upto Chapter 5 and a half: I'm feeling very much for Fitz. He's so lonely. (view spoiler)[And that trick by the King! So cold-hearted. Yet, it's amazing he has such a loyalty at this young age. (hide spoiler)]

I can't wait to continue the book - I just need to finish a book for another challenge :(

That works for me I think. I'll need to get caught up on my two books this week and then I'll be all set for the next week. I probably won't start on 8th as I have a family affair that day but I'll start it on 9th. Does that work for you?

Sorry, I haven't checked in a while. I've read a bit more and will post tomorrow. Too tired to stay awake anymore.

I'm keeping an eye out for the BOMs too. December is a hectic month for me but I'm hoping the January books work for me.

Thoughts upto Chapter 2

(view spoiler)[ The Prologue had me completely interested. What did the MC do? How did he end up as as assassin?

Poor Fitz - being ignored by everyone. I don't understand wy Verity and Royal didn't do anything or why Fitz went unnoticed for half year. I guess they had other things to do and this wasn't something they really wanted to do.

Interesting thing about the Wit - I'm wondering how Fitz is going to deal with it.

The story flows beautifully and it's hard for me to keep putting it down.

I'm glad you liked it - I just can't get past the rapist part (even given whatever justification - time period etc.) If atleast he repented a bit.. but no. It's just not something I can dismiss easily. At this point, I'm totally not interested in continuing the series. (hide spoiler)]

Whew, it's been ages since I checked it. My RL is very busy right now - there's been a lot of visitors (it's been like a season). I'm also planning to studying for a certification so that I can join the workforce next year after a 2 year break.

I managed to finally finish which was a BR. I loved it. A really great fantasy. Also finished , a time-travel SF which also turned out to be a great read.

Has anybody started the first book? I'm starting it now..

I started it today and I think I'm about 10% in. I'm really liking it so far. It's so different from the other book I just finished (Prince of Thorns) that I'm enjoying it even more.

@Kathleen: I LOL'd at that scene too. I could just imagine the messenger's expression. And how Drothe looked doing the stunt :P

I'm really liking Drothe. I can't wait to read more.

Oh, that's too bad Tiffany. If there are GR Librarians around, they might help with the addition. Not sure who though. I know previously, Lisa Kay used to do it.

I finished yesterday. It was ok - a lot violent but I felt some of it was done only for shock value which I didn't appreciate. I'm not sure if I want to continue this series (even though it has great reviews). Thankfully, this too was a BR so I could comment along with different people. Planning to start for a BR today.

Tiffany, I think you can add educational textbooks but I'm not 100% sure. I'm sure Karen will confirm.

I finished it a couple of days back and I'm still a bit torn about.

NancyHelen, like others said, read through. There are certain twists that explains a bit of what Jorg did.

(view spoiler)[Ok, so Corian modified his memory. But does that explain his raping? Not to me. Even if the setting is medieval and all that, he's still only 14. I can accept he was damaged, undergone a trauma but that doesn't mean he had to be rapist. I feel like the author had added it as a shock value. I can get behind the revenge plot somewhat but not behind a rapist. This is my major peeve in the story. (hide spoiler)]
