Yes, it makes complete sense Suzanne. I was worried because it is not nice if most of the difficult page range (500+) goes towards the chipmunk challenge.

I have a question - what happens if we don't meet the page ranges?

Ohh 😭. The books I had are longer books.

I have 2 books on hand that fits two tasks.. I have registered that on the spreadsheet. But I'm not the fastest reader...

Thanks for the update Suzanne! I have 1, potentially 2 500 pagers that I can read. Hopefully I can finish them before the month ends.

Thanks Suzanne. The book I just finished - Lessons in Chemistry - the MC hates her mother. She's a great mother herself. So I changed it from Rainbow Towers to Electra in the spreadsheet.

I aim to get to in the next week. It should work for Lord Vetinari. Any ideas for Electra?

Not at all, Kirsten. In the group homepage, on the right side, you have the Polls. That shows the results of the polls for the BOMs. I don't think the thread for June is created yet.

If you answer questions for any 3 days, we get 20 points I think. Not sure if we get any points for just reading the book without answering 3 days DQ.

I feel so seen! I thought I was the only one. Books with only 5 star reviews in the first page make me nervous. Very few books can be THAT good.

I'm all for the King doorstopper club. I used to love reading doorstoppers before kids. Now, shorter books are easier.

@Elinor: really. If somebody raves about a movie a little too much, I don't watch it at all. I don't want to disappoint the other person. I'm more willing to give books a chance.

I have the The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo on my TBR - the amount of positive reviews make it slightly hard to start reading. I have 3 books from the library that I need to finish before anything else. The good news is they are mostly from the 400-499 range so it'll help with that category if nothing else.

That is good news. I have both the BOMs of June in my TBR and hope to tackle it.

I have that I'm wondering where I can fit it best. It may work for RT36(black) but will it work for any Winners towers? I'm thinking for Remus Lupin, Moonstone, Lord Vetinari, Electra as they are slightly more difficult to find books for.

Edit: Will a black cover work for Lord Vetinari as he wears all black (I think)?

Ooh, I wish we could get a dog. My daughter has asthma and we want to be a little cautious about getting a dog. A hypoallergenic dog (low shedding) might be a better fit but it's not easy to get from a shelter. Hopefully we can get one soon.

I'm going with pink.. I added in the spreadsheet for the Rainbow towers. If you think it'll fit somewhere else better, I'm good to change it.

I've started for another challenge. Which colour can I put it in? I can't seem to pin one colour for it.

Thanks, the first round went ok.. I finished early on my writing exam and I started correcting... and ended up rewriting one of them. I don't know which attempt was better haha.
