One of them is K.M. Neuhold that tried her hand at Omegaverse with no mpreg. Short and Hot. And her fans are demanding a series now.

okay, I'll start with #5, and we'll see after that one is done.

So pretty. I finished it yesterday, but was sucked up in a 500 pages MMMMM paranormal book.

I think the next series I'm going to try by Jecelynn Drake is her Dragon series. I believe this one is co-written."
With AJ Sherwood. It's sligthly different as Sherwood has a more cheesy style - I do love her Jon's Mysteries series to pieces.
I think I've read book #2 for towers, lemme check. Yep, it was the first book I read for Hector.
I tried her warriors series, but it was a bit confusing. I was sad because I was totally obsessed with the Unbreakable Bonds and the Ward Security series by the same co-writting team.
I am curious about the Godstone saga. But it sounds more fantasy than paranormal... so... I'm finishing with the dragons first. LOL.
[Edit] unless we need swords on the cover for tasks.

"Just in case you missed my announcement in the last newsletter, I am planning to return to the Variks world in late 2022/early 2023 with a brand new vampire clan who happens to come to town. I'm not ready to share any details yet as I'm still figuring things out, but I expect there to be appearances from the various Varik brothers.
More details on the new series, which I am tentatively calling the Lords of Chaos, will be coming later in the year."
I hadn't give it much attention because at the time of the first announcements, I haven't yet heard of the Variks. However, when this one came, I was all kinds of obsessed. So, it branded itself in my memory.

Sonia, thanks again for the rec !"
YEY!!!
Glad you liked it.
I get Jocelynn Drake's newsletter and she announced a spin-off on the work shop. Next year, I think. I'll let you know.

Of course, I have my work space set up in my room. AKA Sonia's lair."
Yeah, there is defini..."
I usually hear my neighbours talking too... And by talking I mean, yelling, because it seems they don't know another form of communication.
That been said, since we're basically on opposite sides of the place, if we close the doors sounds get pretty muted. My door is usually slightly open to avoid cat hysterics

Task: Read a book that is in the "Best Horror Novels" Listopia List (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...)

Ex-archaeology grad student turned international antiquities thief, Alix—better known now as Owl—has one rule. No supernatural jobs. Ever. Until she crosses paths with Mr. Kurosawa, a red dragon who owns and runs the Japanese Circus Casino in Las Vegas. He insists Owl retrieve an artifact stolen three thousand years ago, and makes her an offer she can’t refuse: he’ll get rid of a pack of vampires that want her dead. A dragon is about the only entity on the planet that can deliver on Owl’s vampire problem – and let’s face it, dragons are known to eat the odd thief.
Owl retraces the steps of Mr. Kurosawa’s ancient thief from Japan to Bali with the help of her best friend, Nadya, and an attractive mercenary. As it turns out though, finding the scroll is the least of her worries. When she figures out one of Mr. Kurosawa’s trusted advisors is orchestrating a plan to use a weapon powerful enough to wipe out a city, things go to hell in a hand basket fast…and Owl has to pick sides.

I have this one on my bookshelf since we had The Eight as a BOM many many moons ago. It feels like it was back in the 70s *giggles*
Synopsis:
Twenty years ago Katherine Neville's groundbreaking thriller THE EIGHT was a global bestseller – a thriller in the style of THE DA VINCI CODE way before Dan Brown ever got there…
In this long-awaited sequel, Alexandra Solarin, a chess-wizard and the only daughter of Cat Velis, the heroine of THE EIGHT, arrives at her mother's Colorado lodge, only to discover that her mother has disappeared. Finding string of clues, Alexandra is soon joined by a group of people called there by her mother, including her aunt Lily, who explains the truth of Cat's past.
In 1822, as the fortress of Sultan Ali Pasha falls to the Turks, the Sultan's daughter Haidee attempts a desperate journey taking her through Albania, Morocco and Rome, while carrying an invaluable object and seeking the one man who can help her: the poet George Gordon, Lord Byron.
Ultimately both Alexandra and Haidee learn that their missions are even more desperate than they first seem, for both are players in a dangerous game, a game that began more than a millennium before either of them were born and that has the power to affect the fate of human civilization itself.

I thought the hit wave had passed... Last week we reach 40+ ºC (in Lisbon) since the temps were lower this week. But. They're going up again in the next few days.
We were planning to visit the minion's godfather this saturday - he lives in a not as close to the sea city as we do - I am not ready for the scorching heat.
What worries me the most, apart from the lack of water on a lot of places to water the crops. it's the fires. Summer fires are always bad, but this year with the heat wave and lack of rain during winter, have been a challenge.
