35559 Hello fellow trouble makers!!!

So.. are you doing a in between challenges break/pause, or are you already busy lining up ingredients/recipes.

No Sammy, I am not looking at your piles of books already on the kitchen counter.

35559 I loved the monsters too. We were such an oiled team for that one. And Sammy and E were wonderful to take the boat on.

Also, the group maze.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I should know by now that RL always have a twist for towers. ALWAYS.

Anywoo, I had a lot of fun. This TT was of epic proportions with all stuff going on at once. It was kind of wobbleish, but with less stress and drama free. I think.

It was a pleasure playing with you all.

Now it's time to prepare to rock the restaurant until next team challenge comes along.

And with team trouble all together again - aka NBRC troublemakers extraordinaire - that restaurant will definitely rock :D

35559 What was the pairing? Dance or thieves?

I read the necromancer dance. Didn't put it on ss cause it was less than 300 pages

35559 Well... I was slightly annoyed today when I stubble across a comment from Jenny about it being on KU... And after a search saw that it was still there. I could go and return it for another title, I guess... but it is too much trouble.

LOL

35559 Going to skip the task: Read a book with the main genre (listed on the first page on GR) as Humour(ous)

Going South:

S - Smoke & Mirrors
K - Ash Keeler from Tried & True
I - Isaac Salvatore from The Necromancer's Dance
P - Austen Payne from Thick & Thin

35559 Yeah. I was at a bookstore yesterday, and they had all this english editions that made me giddy, but, I needed more info to know what to buy... because shopping sprees are welcome and all, but I was with my niece, meaning, if I had no control over my books, she would have chosen as much as I did... So, I stuck to one.

Anywoo... I needed to know more about the books and was sadly disappointed with the beta version being now on. I hate it. It's really hard to check for stuff. And I was accessing it on my phone. Not happy with the end results.

On a happier note, I ended up choosing

Ninth House (Alex Stern, #1) by Leigh Bardugo

yep, directly from the shelf, no need to pre-order. I guess TV shows and movies are good for book sales. And finally have a new book for my plane trip in 3 weeks. I'm still taking my kindle, but I wanted a physical book too. I would take more with me, but sadly, we only got the personal item allowed.
I could argue that books trump clothes anytime, but other people take issue with it. #rude

35559 Not to be cocky or anything, but I think we're the ones to blame. She started at 500 pages, but then our challenges also started rewarding points for big chunksters. So she started adding up pages to make her books appealing to NBRC readers.

(I'm totally disregarding the fact that the HP books also had that type of boom in page numbers)

35559 I might go with necromancer's dance before meet me there, because it was Angle that managed to help me leaving THIRDS obsession last time - plus I need the title for the Help/Skip for maze. All I need is a P, but all the THIRDS titles where the darn P appears are north titles and I need to go south

35559 Okay... I'm not sure about dragon boss... not feeling it like I did with mafia prince, sadly.

But I do have the brand new "Meet Me There" waiting for me. It's always a good line. If not used, no hard feelings. LOL.

35559 The bad news, is that now I am - again - obsessed with that world and may have a little trouble letting it go. Which is bad, because Tin #2 is not yet published.

I do have the beyond the books stories.... so maybe...

35559 Well, my plan was to re-read just books #5 and #7 of the THIRDS series... ended up reading all from #5 to #10 and also the TIN spin-off.

Good things: Dex eats like nobody I know, so, plenty of food and snacks.

I'll update the books after my daily meetings.

35559 Finished THIRDS #7. Since I'm re-reading, I'll be jumping into #9 next. After 3 books, I'm ready for Seb's and Hudson's HEA. Plus I'm pretty sure there is some family get together, which means food. Not to mention the title can be useful too Darkest Hour Before Dawn

In case you haven't noticed, I have a sweet spot for cheesy characters and not so good books.

That been said, I read that entire series back to back plus companion books in... 2 weeks... I think.

I prefer her Four Kings Security universe. But this one is not that bad. Compared to some other books... Steven can't read her. I can't read his loved Daryl Banner. We had to agree in disagreeing.

Good thing, because I think I want to read calvin and hobbs next. *Sigh*

(And I don't mean the cartoon. They are part of THIRDS universe. Hobbs is a tiger shifter and Calvin is his human partner)

And yeah, I don't know how she managed not to have copyright issues. Specially with the "Wait, your name is Calvin and your tiger partner is Hobbs?"
