Hello my pretties!!!!
Last day of round #1. Round #2 starts in 11 hours, at London & Lisbon 9 PM... so.. I was thinking about doing the LAST CALL for books around 8 - 8:30 PM, so we have time for last minute tweaking.
All books are checked and accounted for at the moment, so, it's just the final captain tetris

There is no limit this time, so we can use all the books. Which is making me extremely happy - I tend to prefer to read more and smaller books than less and bigger ones.

ch 33-50
13. "I come in peace". That made my laugh out loud. Exactly what the bad extraterrestial guy would say before hacking your head off. I'm pretty sure, that's what Dave thought for a minute. What do you think Logan expected to achieve with going to talk to the ex-boyfriend. Do you think he got it?
14. So, not only is Savannah related to Harry, her visit to the Delaney's was not innocent. But it turned out differently than planed. That girl is seriously damaged. Were you expecting this turn of events?
15. Were you expecting the body found to be Joy? Did you think it was Savannah's doing? Or maybe Stan's? Was Joy's betrayal a cut so deep to heal?
16. So. Savannah seems to be out of the picture (even if I'm not totally convinced about it). Christmas was a disaster. And nobody realized that Joy simply disappeared, till it was too late. Do you think she's dead, just off grid, or is this a Gone Girl situation?

My sister used to love those books. I tried the Mayfair witches, since I prefer them to vampires, but the writing was a bit too gothic for me at the time. Maybe I should give it another try one of these days.

Small victories

How is everybody doing?
I'm 80% done with Exit Strategy #1, and I'm pretty sure that I am going to read the whole series back to back. Seriously, a professional assassin with a conscience... what not to love.
Plus... I have all the feelings. I wasn't this excited with a reluctant partnership since Ty& Zane. I could say that maybe it has been too long since I read my favorite boys BUT, I'm pretty sure I read a couple of their books for UNO this year.
Anyway, I'm also going to join the BOM reading... curious enough, I didn't think of wheels when joining... just thought there were few volunteers and bam! I should have started yesterday, BUT, I have tomorrow off, so, I'll catch up then.

RIGHT?!?!?
I am so glad I am not the only one feeling it

Yeah... I never understood that. Even if you love the author, they can write a book you don't enjoy as much.
When Ilona Andrews decided to write a series with Hugh D'Ambray as a MC I was a bit out of sorts. I almost didn't read it, because I hated the character so much... and didn't want to start liking him.
Resistance was, as they say, futile. But I would never rate a book before reading it. Sure, some of the ratings can be from ARC or Beta readers. But I'm pretty sure most of them aren't.

Honey, no complains from me. I read 28 books in the same universe because of that. Sure, some of them were all wrapped up in some pretty bundles of 600+ pages. But. The principle is the same.
I almost went for the Exit Strategy bundle for page numbers BUT, the new Deadly Lover: Special Edition has a short storie as extra, plus, I can knock out 3 E's instead of just the one.

Uhmmm I guess my KU addiction is making me stay away from whatever is happening on the "pay to read me" books being published.
Unless you're a Ilona Andrews or Patricia Briggs book. That weren't up for voting, since there are too many fantasy books around to allow for paranormal fantasy to have a decent chance.
