Claire is an interesting character. From the beginning, I wasn’t sure how much I could trust her too. I still am not sure.

35559 WOW This book is so engrossing! Some chapters are dark and gruesome. But I love the cat and mouse game set up. I stopped at chapter 28. I had to make myself stop. LOL

The book Flowers of Evil: A Selection by Charles Baudelaire (mentioned in chapter 9 or 10) is new to me. Have you heard of it, Laura, Brooke, Chie? It’s great how the author is able to incorporate it into the story.

I just started the book and will come back later to comment more. But I am listening to the audio and it is great! Some parts are like a movie with different voices and sound effects. I know you don’t usually listen to audio, Laura. But this would be a good one. Really enjoying the book so far!

Sorry I missed your post! Usually I just wait to see what books win. And then decide if I want to read it. It’s more fun for me that way. Sometimes I get to read a book I never would have considered.

Yes, a lot of times a series gets better with each book. I want to see how the books evolve.

Don’t want to spoil anything for you. But the reveal about who was killing and how it was determined was really good. I was surprised and it was definitely worth the read.

Connie surprised me too. She did keep runnng off on her own.

35559 I dug in and finished. The ending with Gordon was exciting. It was a bit heartbreaking, though, about April and (view spoiler) I had everything all wrong. But I’m glad I didn’t figure it out. I could actually see how people so smart could be so dumb. LOL I wonder if we will see April again in the series?
