You and me both! I have been reading too many books lately! I want to read book 4 at a slower pace and savor it more. I want to do the same with other books on my to read list.
35559 I definitely felt like this book might be a turning point for Toby. She did act like she did not care whether she lived or died. Hence why she kept going back again and AGAIN. LOL But I do think her attitude may be changing and I liked that. I am not “loving” the series yet. But I want to see where the series is going.

35559 I will likely start late like September 3rd, if that is okay. Weekends are usually too crazy for me. I see the new book is being released September 4. Do you want to have book 4 read before the new one, DeVann?
35559 Cathy M. wrote: "Read thru Chpt 21 last night & .."

I so agree about Luna and Tybalt too. (view spoiler) But as DeVann says, Toby is too stubborn to die! LOL

Quentin’s decision about his girlfriend was so bittersweet to me too. I wonder if this story has really ended? We still haven’t seen Toby’s mom or Toby’s daughter. I may sneak peeks at upcoming books because I am curious. LOL
35559 OK, great! I’ll look for the discussion thread later. Very handy you can create them now, Laura!

I started reading Blade Song, but the MC is a bit too smart alecky for me. I don’t think that series will become a fav. But Fatal Affair by Marie Force is starting out good! It reminds me of the In Death series, except it’s not set in the future.

OK, I’ll be ready to talk more books in September!

35559 We can definitely read Georgina Kincaid. I am up for a reread. Wasn’t sure if you stopped reading, Laura, because of a lack of interest. I’ll be reading the other 4 in September too. Along with a few other paranormals. I am on a quest right now! LOL

I have not read Discworld, but would be interested in a buddy read, Brooke!

How does September 10 work for Succubus Blues? If something comes up, we can push the date forward as usual. I am flexible.

35559 Donna wrote: "Geri, Did you start Beard Science yet? I was double checking to make sure both the claiming sheet and our team sheet were the same and there is already a completion for a book #3 in a series. Is it..."

No, I haven’t started Beard Science. The book is about brothers. But that may be already claimed. I’ll keep track of the names so it can be used for characters, if not for tasks.
35559 I have read the first few Maisie Dobbs and enjoyed them! It’s another series I forget about and should keep track of.

The In Death series, not sure where I stopped. (Sigh) I may have to start at the beginning.

Since Laura has read Georgina Kincaid, I thought we could try to find a new paranormal series. I am on a mission to find another one I love. So I did some research on goodreads today for paranormal mystery romance. Hopefully, you haven’t read them, Laura! :) Let me know, Brooke and Laura, if there is any interest.

The Light Who Shines (Bluebell Kildare, #1) by Lilo Abernathy

Ghost Seer (Ghost Seer, #1) by Robin D. Owens

Witchling (Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon, #1) by Yasmine Galenorn

Blade Song (Colbana Files, #1) by J.C. Daniels

Do you have a favorite series? I have read a few WWII books. But I find them so sad after awhile I need a break. Of course, I love mystery and thrillers!

Forgot to mention that I read the latest Elin Hilderbrand The Perfect Couple. I really loved it! I mention it because we read a Hilderbrand book last summer too.
35559 Laura wrote: "Geri wrote: "Laura wrote: "Geri wrote: "Brooke and Laura, I was thinking about rereading a paranormal series I loved. Succubus Blues is book 1. Would either or both of you be interest..."

Oh good! I will definitely read the Marie Force series now.

I tried The Others series. Only read the first 2 books. I found it a little silly at times. Does it get better?

I read the first few In Death. But like Brooke, I can’t keep up with all the new books. Do you recommend reading them all in order?

I haven’t read Dresden or Reacher. I’ll have to add them. I usually go for geeky-ish guys. Probably one reason I got so into Georgina Kincaid. My husband is a bit geeky. But not as much as Seth. LOL

I decided to add a bookshelf on goodreads to help me keep track of series. I usually read a book or two and then forget about them. So maybe this will help!

Have you tried Lady Sherlock series A Study in Scarlet Women? It’s a historical mystery series with a twist. Charlotte Holmes solves mysteries under Sherlock Holmes’ name.

I really like the Bannerless saga Bannerless and Detective Lottie Parker series The Missing Ones too.

For romance, I am really loving pretty much anything by Penny Reid these days. Her Winston brothers series is good. Book 1 is good. But book 2 is even better. And I started book 3 and it’s looking like it will be just as good as book 2.
35559 I have finished. I chuckled often. Especially in chapter 2 when we meet (view spoiler) I’m interested in what you guys have to say about Luna. I found the ending bittersweet but well written. But I’ll wait until everyone gets there to talk more about it. It felt like this book was a sort of turning point for Toby.
35559 I finished too. And I agree, holy crap! LOL I was actually sad about (view spoiler)

I was happy how things ended with Jazz and Connie’s dad. I also thought what Jazz did to his father was the right thing. Probably worse than killing him. I really enjoyed this series. I agree, Teri, it was well done!

Great! Maybe this time, you’ll finish the series. I was so obsessed, I had to know how it ended. I’ve tried to find other paranormal series that I like as much. Alpha and Omega is the only one that comes close. I will be starting Mercy Thompson and The Graveyard Queen in September too.

Gosh, I don’t want to know how many books I have read this month! Too many! My chores, tv watching have suffered. LOL I’ve written down a “sane” reading schedule for September.

How did you like Circe? The book has had a long waiting list at my library for months. But I still have my eye on it.

Have either of you read Fatal Affair? I just heard about this series. And I’m curious if it is good.
35559 Brooke and Laura, I was thinking about rereading a paranormal series I loved. Succubus Blues is book 1. Would either or both of you be interested? I don’t want to start until September, after TT challenge. We could try the first book and see if you like it. And then go from there. I loved Georgina and her romance with Seth!
35559 Laura wrote: "Hi! Still working on it. I was away this weekend - early registeration for my son for college. I didn't get too much read last week. I'm hoping to finish it this week because I was enjoying it!"

Exciting! Your son is off to college! Kids are back to school here too. I hope your son enjoys college, but not too much! I won’t mention any of the antics I got into when I went to college!
