You and me both! I have been reading too many books lately! I want to read book 4 at a slower pace and savor it more. I want to do the same with other books on my to read list.

I so agree about Luna and Tybalt too. (view spoiler) But as DeVann says, Toby is too stubborn to die! LOL
Quentin’s decision about his girlfriend was so bittersweet to me too. I wonder if this story has really ended? We still haven’t seen Toby’s mom or Toby’s daughter. I may sneak peeks at upcoming books because I am curious. LOL

I started reading Blade Song, but the MC is a bit too smart alecky for me. I don’t think that series will become a fav. But Fatal Affair by Marie Force is starting out good! It reminds me of the In Death series, except it’s not set in the future.
OK, I’ll be ready to talk more books in September!

Caught in Time by Julie McElwain
8-18-18, 464 pages
Kendra Donovan, Molly, Albert Rutherford, Alexander Morgan, Benjamin, Charles Bolton, Nathan Bancroft, Constable Jamison, Matthews, Mr. Biddle, Mrs. Trout, Lavinia Stone, Crawford, Winifred, Turner, Alex, Sam Kelly, Mrs. Hernshaw, Flora

I have not read Discworld, but would be interested in a buddy read, Brooke!
How does September 10 work for Succubus Blues? If something comes up, we can push the date forward as usual. I am flexible.

Dancing at Midnight by Julia Quinn
8-16-18, 375 pages
Works for book Goblet of Fire task 3 - read a book with couple dancing on cover

No, I haven’t started Beard Science. The book is about brothers. But that may be already claimed. I’ll keep track of the names so it can be used for characters, if not for tasks.

The In Death series, not sure where I stopped. (Sigh) I may have to start at the beginning.
Since Laura has read Georgina Kincaid, I thought we could try to find a new paranormal series. I am on a mission to find another one I love. So I did some research on goodreads today for paranormal mystery romance. Hopefully, you haven’t read them, Laura! :) Let me know, Brooke and Laura, if there is any interest.

Do you have a favorite series? I have read a few WWII books. But I find them so sad after awhile I need a break. Of course, I love mystery and thrillers!
Forgot to mention that I read the latest Elin Hilderbrand The Perfect Couple. I really loved it! I mention it because we read a Hilderbrand book last summer too.

Oh good! I will definitely read the Marie Force series now.
I tried The Others series. Only read the first 2 books. I found it a little silly at times. Does it get better?
I read the first few In Death. But like Brooke, I can’t keep up with all the new books. Do you recommend reading them all in order?
I haven’t read Dresden or Reacher. I’ll have to add them. I usually go for geeky-ish guys. Probably one reason I got so into Georgina Kincaid. My husband is a bit geeky. But not as much as Seth. LOL
I decided to add a bookshelf on goodreads to help me keep track of series. I usually read a book or two and then forget about them. So maybe this will help!
Have you tried Lady Sherlock series A Study in Scarlet Women? It’s a historical mystery series with a twist. Charlotte Holmes solves mysteries under Sherlock Holmes’ name.
I really like the Bannerless saga Bannerless and Detective Lottie Parker series The Missing Ones too.
For romance, I am really loving pretty much anything by Penny Reid these days. Her Winston brothers series is good. Book 1 is good. But book 2 is even better. And I started book 3 and it’s looking like it will be just as good as book 2.

I was happy how things ended with Jazz and Connie’s dad. I also thought what Jazz did to his father was the right thing. Probably worse than killing him. I really enjoyed this series. I agree, Teri, it was well done!

An Unwanted Guest by Shari Lapena
8-15-18, 290 pages
Gwen Delaney, Riley Shooter, David Paley, Lauren Day, Ian Beaton, Beverly Sullivan, Henry, Dana Hart, Matthew Hutchinson, Bradley, Candice White, James, Sorensen, Lachlan, Perez, Wilcox

An Artificial Night by Seanan McGuire
8-15-18, 354 pages
Works for book Order of the Phoenix task 3 - read a book where the title is pink

Great! Maybe this time, you’ll finish the series. I was so obsessed, I had to know how it ended. I’ve tried to find other paranormal series that I like as much. Alpha and Omega is the only one that comes close. I will be starting Mercy Thompson and The Graveyard Queen in September too.
Gosh, I don’t want to know how many books I have read this month! Too many! My chores, tv watching have suffered. LOL I’ve written down a “sane” reading schedule for September.
How did you like Circe? The book has had a long waiting list at my library for months. But I still have my eye on it.
Have either of you read Fatal Affair? I just heard about this series. And I’m curious if it is good.

Exciting! Your son is off to college! Kids are back to school here too. I hope your son enjoys college, but not too much! I won’t mention any of the antics I got into when I went to college!
