35559 Brooke, Linus does sound cute. We had storms here last night too.

So glad you did not miss out on your game of risk, Laura!

The weekends are tough for me to get all the reading in that I want. But I am on track to finish a book tonight! Tomorrow is a work day for my husband, so I will be able to marathon my way through some books!

35559 I read the description for Perfect Formation, Laura. Not sure my heart will be able to take it! LOL

I got 4 more books from the library today. I use my husband’s account so I can double my requests. But it has never been this busy before! I may be able to read more this week, or hopefully, use the rest next week for wheels!

Sorry link won't..."

I probably won’t be able to because I’m swamped. But I am curious, what book is the back room BOM? I’m not part of the group.

Also, I will read my memoir last. If I do have time, I will read another. First, I’ll post to see how many more we need.

It is there. So I think I’m good too. Thanks!

35559 Oh no! When I looked up my memoir, the main page says autobiography/memoir. It’s not til I click on top shelves link that I see just memoir. So do I need to change my memoir?

I have started City of Girls. I’ll finish today and then start The Friends We Keep.

I don’t set a yearly goal. But I think I’m on track to read more than last year. Challenges do help!

35559 No, I don’t watch much sports, Laura. Sometimes I catch the Super Bowl just to watch the commercials. LOL My husband and I go to baseball games occasionally with friends (White Sox). But mostly I wander around getting food and chatting with the other ladies.

Did Boston win?

I usually choose from what I can get from the library too. I may change a book if I start and it’s terrible. I read some bad books the first time I was part of a challenge. They fit a task. But I try not to read anything terrible now!

I’m ready to start!

It’s a bit crazy right now with the library! I just got an email that The Friends We Keep is now available for me too. And yes, it will work for week 1! I think I will have to pace my requests for the next few weeks.

I hope you enjoy The Mother In Law! I did. I am also thinking about reading another memoir. I will have to see if I can fit it in. They are pretty short, the ones I am considering. So it will only take a few hours to get through.

35559 Laura wrote: "What books is everyone trying to finish up before the challeng starts? I'm trying to finish an Eve Duncan novel by Iris Johansen. I need it for two other challenges."

I’ll be finishing a book for Clue today. Tomorrow I decided to watch some TV since I have quite a few books scheduled for the start of Wheel. There won’t be time for any TV! But that’s okay. A lot of books came in for me at the library. Wheel gives me a reason to marathon through them. Who needs sleep anyway?!

35559 Hi Sunny! Great to have you on our team!

Good trip back home, Megan!

Everyone has inspired me to read a memoir. Brooke read one by Rob Lowe, so I will copy her and read his second book Love Life. Should be interesting and I was able to borrow from the library.

35559 Hi Kaley! Congrats on the engagement! I have 2 spoiled cats. They make a wonderful addition to a home!

I have a bunch of library books to read and they all work for week 1! It helps when character names and narrators count.
