I don’t read enough kindle books to subscribe. I use my library aA LOT. And audible and audible escape. You definitely need to continue!! The story gets even better, hotter and mysterious. 😁

Laura - I finished book 3 in the Nevermore Bookshop Mysteries. I love the series! It’s so much fun. Hot romance, funny humor and a decent mystery and paranormal story. My library doesn’t have book 4 or 5. 😕 I will probably spend the few dollars to get them on kindle.

Sometimes I fly through books. 200-300 pages is nothing for me. But longer books are better for me to read over a week or so, In between shorter books. That way I don’t feel as much pressure during a challenge. And like you mentioned, I feel like I get to savor the book more!

Insomnia is a big advantage during a challenge! 😁 Plus I read a few by alternating them. So they all got done one after another.

I added another Q book to the spreadsheet. It looks like we will need it. I am on track to read more this round than last round.

I did finish today. It was so good! There were definitely some surprises. I’ll wait to say more when you are done.

I did use a credit on audible for this book. It was listed on the best books so far list on Amazon. I don’t always agree. But this time I do!

I didn’t catch the reference to his previous book. But I found it funny that Jenny and Paul mentioned and both loved Stephen King. I think North was probably influenced by King.

Have you heard of The Slenderman case? This book reminds me some of that true event. A little different in that the friend stabbed did survive.

I do find the lucid dreaming thing interesting. Kids will believe many things. I don’t believe Crabtree disappeared. He may be dead or maybe lurking still?

Laura - Have you figured out how many times we should be able to spell out our word? I ask because I have another Q book. But will wait to see if we need it before I put it in the spreadsheet.

Yes, there is a really good creepiness and supernatural feel to the book. I started another book last night too. The Last Flight I had to stop after a few chapters. It was too good and had me on the edge of my seat. Not a good book to relax to at night! LOL I will read it during the day. And recommend it to you if you haven’t read it.

I made it through part 1, stopped at chapter 7. It is difficult to stop. I can tell this will be another great scary story, just like Home Before Dark. I won’t make too many comments until I know how far you got.

Glad you were able to finish! I have to admit when I’m NOT in a team challenge, I will dnf a book more often if I am struggling. I just finished one yesterday I would have stopped reading if I could. But I’m in full challenge mode right now and I am just powerIng through!

Hey Brooke, I read Home Before Dark. You were right, it was a great ghost story! I had my husband listen to it too. He really enjoyed it too!

Ugh! It’s been hot here too. We are getting a break for the weekend. So I plan to enjoy before the heat comes back next week. Don’t melt getting your books!

The book looks good. I will try not to rush. I know reading print can take longer. I just need to log it in as finished in the next 2 weeks. Doable.

I finished my last book for this round. Good thing it was an easy fast read!

I will finish my current book tonight. And will pick up another book that will work for N, G, L and O. I’ll have it done by the deadline tomorrow. That will be the last book I can do this round.
