Diane, the magic was very confusing in my book (Nameless Magery) too. There's a sequel, so I'm hoping I'm less confused by the time I finish that.

Final questions!
28) Anna is now understanding a bit of what Rachel might have felt towards the end of her marriage. "If he does it with you, he'll do it to you." Do you agree with this? Do you think once a cheater, always a cheater?
While I think there are always exceptions to the rule, yes I generally think once a cheater always a cheater. I admit feeling a bit of glee when Anna suddenly realized that Tom was cheating on her too after a whole book of her smug assertions about how happy they were together and how horrible Rachel had been. Petty yes, but that's how I roll. ;)
29) Anna begins to change her long-held opinion about Rachel once she realizes what Tom has done with Megan, yet still resents her. Have you ever held onto an opinion or judgment about someone even after you know the truth?
I'm not one to make snap judgements in real life, but there have been a few people that I took an instant dislike to. I don't think anything I could hear later could change that feeling.
30) Megan tells us about her affair: "I didn't want him to leave his wife; I just wanted him to want to leave her. To want me that much." Can you relate to this feeling? Have you ever wanted feel this significant before?
Nope, can't relate at all. I'm a loner to the core, I could care less what anyone thinks of me and quite frankly I wish to be less important to most people. I dream of a life of no responsibilities.
31) Rachel tells us that Tom lied all of the time, about everything. Even when he didn't need to, even when there was no point. Have you ever known anyone like this? Do you feel Tom's end was justice served or would you have liked to see a different ending for him?
I have know a few compulsive liars in my life, most of them have worked for me. The stories I could tell if this were a different kind of forum. :) As to Tom's ending, I can't feel any sympathy for an abuser, so his death is fine with me.
32) Rachel reaches out to Scott one final time. Do you think she should have apologized or left him alone? If you were Scott, would you have responded to her email?
If it made her feel better to apologize then that's fine. I wouldn't have done it personally and I wouldn't have responded, though I would have liked some closure for the story.
33) Any final thoughts about the book? Did you enjoy it? What is your rating?
One star for me, hated it. Was disappointed from the beginning as the story didn't match the book jacket, was expecting Rear Window, got whiny chick lit. Didn't like the non-linear style of the story. Thought the story wasn't particularly well resolved. Hated all the characters and I need to have someone to root for to enjoy a story. Not a fan, won't seek out anything else she might write

You know what annoys me a whole bunch. Nora Roberts is in the business of writing. I realize most authors, it's a job, it may or may not pay well. Some of them though, they are a business, like Nora Roberts. I'm assuming she has a team of people working on her books. THERE SHOULDN'T BE SPELLING ERRORS. Drives me insane. Spellcheck isn't a substitute for a brain. Grrrr!
