27 Apr: MEGAN (Thursday, 20 june 2013) - RACHEL (Thursday, 15 August 2013) 209 - 258
23) Do you agree with Kamal that Mac was just as guilty as Megan about what happened to their daughter?
Mac is guilty about many things, he shouldn't have been sleeping with an underage girl, gotten her pregnant, provided her with booze and drugs and left her alone, but Megan was responsible for the baby's death.
24) Did you expect Scott and Rachel to fall into bed together? What did you think about what happened when she returned to his house?
Yes actually I did. Rachel is self-destructive and stupid, what else would she do but have sex with a murder suspect. And I was right about what happened later. She trusted him so clearly he must be a psychopath.
25) Has your opinion of Anna changed much now that we're learning more about her?
I didn't like Anna in the beginning, she's turning out to be exactly what I thought of her.
26) So Tom may not be the perfect, kind man that Rachel has led us to believe. Do you think he was abusive to Rachel and used her blackouts to disguise it? Does this tie in to Megan in any way?
I never thought Tom was a good guy. How many times will I have to repeat in these questions that I think Rachel is a an idiot and wrong about absolutely everything. Often apparently. I do think Tom was using Rachel's blackouts to hide his abuse and make himself seem better. I also assume that he was the one who hurt Rachel during the blackout when Megan disappeared.
27) I know we just had this question, but has this new information (Tom and Anna's dark personalities, Scott's violence) changed your theories in any way?
I'm starting to think they are all in on it together. ;) But seriously, the characters are all so unpleasant, it could be anyone.

26 Apr: MEGAN (Thursday, 13 june 2013) - RACHEL (Wednesday, 7 August 2013)
pages 163 - 208
18. I have read a few reviews where people have found the flicking between different POVs and time frames confusing. How are you finding it?
I'm one of the ones who was complaining about the time shifts. It's not confusing per se, but I can't say I like it. I tend to not read chapter headings, don't know why I've just always skipped them. So for this book I have to make a point to figure out whose perspective I'm supposed to be following and is this present day or a memory. Not a fan.
19. Thoughts on the Dr seeing Megan at his house as "a friend"?! Seems to be crossing some pretty solid professional lines to me.
Definitely crossing a line, he seems more slimy than before which of course makes me assume he is innocent. :)
20. Were you surprised by the secret that Megan divulged to the Dr?
Not really, it had to be baby related of course. It's the only important thing about women don't you know. (Imagine the most possible sarcastic tone imaginable and then triple it).
21. We are just over halfway. Has your opinion on any of the characters changed as you have read? Has your theory on what has happened changed?
Rachel seems to trust Scott implicitly therefore I now assume he murdered Megan. Rachel is the most stupid character I have read in years so I assume everything she thinks or feels is 100% wrong. I still don't like anyone in this book and it definitely colours how I feel about the story.
22. Do you often commute on trains? Has reading this book made you think differently about those around you?
I love trains but I haven't been on one in years. I think I'd have to drive 6 hours to get to a train here. Seems inefficient. :) However, I have always thought it would be the perfect commute.

Congrats on your horse Rachel. I admit I find his name a little disturbing and hope he doesn't disappoint you and end up as actual glue. ;) Good luck on your kitten too.
The group challenges are fun, but sometimes I admit they do get to feel like work. I am not even remotely competitive in real life, but things like this get me rabid for a win. I read 18 books last week! I don't have time to be reading 18 books these days, but I did it anyway. Now I'm expecting a cautionary PM from the mods, but damnit I'm going to read as many books as possible this week too. :D I want to win this thing people. Who's with me?

Thank you!"
Sorry, apparently they don't have my version with page numbers on the site. I didn't notice. So I switched to one that was close enough, it's under 500 so we get the same points.
I should have my last three books finished by the deadline tonight.
