I just re-read last month in preparation. A lot had actually stayed with me, must be a sign of good writing.

The Book That Wouldn’t Burn

Goodreads Choice AwardNominee for Best Fantasy (2023)
A boy has lived his whole life trapped within a vast library, older than empires and larger than cities.
A girl has spent hers in a tiny settlement out on the Dust where nightmares stalk and no one goes.
The world has never even noticed them. That's about to change.
Their stories spiral around each other, across worlds and time. This is a tale of truth and lies and hearts, and the blurring of one into another. A journey on which knowledge erodes certainty, and on which, though the pen may be mightier than the sword, blood will be spilled and cities burned.

I am a bit late to the intros, sorry. I have been unwell and getting towards the end of it now, just in time for Book Games.
I am Chava from Melbourne in Australia, but I was born in the..."
Hi Chava! Lovely playing on the same team again. 😊

Sound like an awesome break, Karen. Good mix of business, friends and family, I'm sure you'll have a lovely time. I smiled when you mentioned your 15 year friend anniversary, it's the first time I've seen someone else mention a friend anniversary. My bestie and I are coming up to our 50th friend anniversary, I think we're going to try and do a Christmas Markets cruise in Europe to celebrate. Have the best time away.

Good luck on you riding the Ring of Kerry, lovely scenery, itty bitty road, LOL.

Having recently experienced how smooth the Norwegian trains run (Lisa, I'm wondering if we were there at the same time? Though I was only in Oslo..."
Ooh, I was in Oslo 5-8th.. took the airport train and then the train from Oslo to Bergen. The trains were smooth.. not so much the seas, (on the Havila ferry to Kirkenes) but coming from a temperate climate the snow was pretty thrilling. My next train adventure will be the shinkansen in Japan. Looking forward to that.

Lisa from Australia here. I've done lots of challenges and there is nothing I like better than hunting for a book with an obscure task attached.
I'm a Mum of 3, Nanna to 6 and small business operator (dairy farm) and apart from our family and reading my other passion is travel. Just back from Norway and later in the year.. Japan.
Here is my shelf.. looking forward to playing this new intriguing Challenge with you all.

I might start after the 15th though so I can use it in the Book Games challenge.
PS - I enjoyed the re-read just as much, really looking forward to book 2.
