It’s for the team. We don’t have access to it yet, so we don’t know our starting task yet. I was just posting so everyone could get excited!

Hey Team! Just wanted to post a little update as we head into the last weekend of the month. The May mini ends on May 31st at 9:00 PM, GMT+1. I think that's one or two in the morning for me, but I'm not entirely sure!

Here's where we are for the Mini: 1 completed Muse. The other Muses each have either One or Two tasks still be completed. Books have been selected for everything except the O in Terpsichore. We have books on other tasks that work for an O, so we can always swap things if necessary.

What comes after the mini, you ask? I'm so very glad you asked.
We're going to be reading to satisfy the minotaur in the maze. Think of the all youth who will not be sacrificed this year because of our reading!

We are not in a supergroup, so it will only be our 'team' on our maze, and our maze will be smaller because we have less people than the combined 3 teams for each of the supergroups.

Basically, for every move in the maze we will need to read a book. There will be task that is specific to that square, as well as a directional tasks. Both tasks must be met by one book. So basically, we'll have a task like "read a book with a lion shifter." And then we'll need to find a lion shifter that also works for the direction we want to move:

Each direction has a specific quality to the book you need to read.
🏆 North - Book title starts with A-M
🏆 South - Book title starts with N-Z
🏆 East - Even number of pages
🏆 West - Odd number of pages

There are a lot more complicated and detailed directions if you click on the link above. It should be interesting!

Hey team! I've got a huge favor to ask of all you, something that will make things much easier for us captains/co-captains. If you could leave the formulas on the Summary sheet alone, that would be great. We use that info to compare to the official spreadsheet, so that we can catch any errors on our parts. If you manually enter a number, the formula is overwritten and then we have to try to figure out why numbers aren't adding properly!

Agree about Dawn Caravan. I've finished Bone Scroll. There better be at least one more! And apparently I also missed Martyr's Promise, so I'm reading that before Chloe and Gavin. So this week is basically an Elizabeth Hunter week for me. :)

I’ll take a look, but it’s probably not on there. Arbookfind is for childrens and middle grade books, mostly. I don’t know if any sites for graphic novels.

Unfortunately, Welcome to Dead House is MPG Children's, so we have to verify the word count, and it comes in at 23,002 words per arbookfind.com. Books with MPG Childrens, Poetry, or Graphic Novels must have a verified word count of at least 30,000 words, so we can't use this one. :(

The whole challenge started on the 15th, so only books started on or after then can be counted.

They’re on the Muse May Mini sheet. If you put the number of your task in the mini code column, it will automatically transfer your book to the sheet for the mini tasks!

Celia, use the planning spreadsheet Michelle linked in post #5. I believe the mods are only giving access to the other spreadsheet for captains.

To update your books, use the planning spreadsheet that Michelle posted in Post #5. I believe that one has open access, with a couple of pages locked to preserve some nifty formulas that transfer info from one sheet to the other.

I love Jaymin Eve! I just re-listened to Curse of the Gods. The narrator is so spot on for that one! Her Supernatural Academy series has been made into an animated series on Peacock, which I have heard is good, but I have not yet watched.

You never know, Amanda. It all depends on who drops out. They don’t only go down the list. They try to also match # of books. I signed up for 45 a month, so I’m unlikely to be out on a team, but if you signed up for less, you could make it.
