It's text only, it's a kind of study-analysis-overview, not a biography.

The first part of the book is a historical overview of Hollywood film music, slightly academical and mostly from a film studies perspective, but I find it very, very interesting. I added it to my Audible to-listen-list on a whim, but I'm very glad I did. :)

Currently listening to The Film Music of John Williams: Reviving Hollywood's Classical Style as it is included in the Audiblecom Plus catalogue.

It's not an autobiography, slightly academic, but not excessively so and super interesting: telling about the history of Hollywood music and how it evolved from the start of the film industry. I'm not a great movie buff (though a fan of Star Wars and the LOTR movies :), but this book makes all the films mentioned so much more interesting. :))

I can't wait, though one of my most dreaded boring-wheel-of-life tasks is getting ready for these family trips where everyone (aka the boys) expects me to make the huge piles of stuff they throw at me into neat, fitting-into-mini-luggage size. I HATE IT!!!! (1st-world problems, I know!) 😂

But it's a good excuse to yell at them to leave me be with an audiobook while I'm doing it. 🤭

Half-term holidays is next week in Hungary, so I took the week off and we will be travelling to Austria to a wellness-hotel at a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. I'm hoping to have some relaxing, uninterrupted reading times occasionally. :)

I have just started listening to this book The Film Music of John Williams: Reviving Hollywood's Classical Style as currently it's included in the audiblecom Plus catalogue. I can't say for sure at this point, there are bound to be violins or pianos mentioned (?). But I thought even without those you may find this book interesting. I'm enjoying it very much. 😊

It may work as it is a Fantasy name, not a real one, but would like a 2nd opinion from Sophie/Karen.

I will definitely finish my 2 current books before the deadline and will see if I have time for another quick read.

I thought it would be THAT book when you named the century ;)
