35559 Victoria, I've found a few. I'll link what I have when I get home from work. It's mostly PNR and romantic suspense...not sure if those are interesting for you.

There's also a bingo thread in the Captains group so let me know which genre/sin you are most interested in and I can look there.

Random, but does..."

I put my name in at the library for The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup so fingers crossed I can do that one. I'll probably try Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus and I can volunteer for questions unless someone else wants to read it.

Also, this month's Wilder Girls by Rory Power is a Sin bingo, so reading that one gives bonus and BOM points if anyone else is interested. I think Beth and I were planning on that one.

Only a few hours until starting time!

35559 Beth, I was just trying to figure out what time it would start here as well! Usually they have a countdown clock, but I havent seen one yet.

Hi Beth. My week is great right now as I'm getting ready to head to the beach this weekend...as soon as I can finish my work for the day. Hope yours is going well as well.

So far I have signed up for the Wilder Girls BOM and offered to write questions. For the first month or two I have to finish up a few other challenges, so my reading will depend on them, but I'm hoping to knock out a few of the bigger books on my list in December for extra points. I will admit I have not looked too closely at the book covers/categories associated with the "sins" yet, so don't have anything planned to match those specifically.

Hey Dale! Quick time zone question --- are you around the same times as Europe? Or are you later?

The transition to ebooks has helped me save considerable shelf space as well -- I still have most of a wall in an extra room dedicated to bookshelves, but it has slowed the takeover. :)

35559 Hello Team Pride! Our thread is officially open for business -- so stop by and say hello, tell us about yourself! Let us know if you have any problems or questions.

I'm Stacey from North Carolina. I will be attempting to assist our fearless Captain Vicky as much as possible for the next few months. This is my 4th Tower Teams challenge, and it was my gateway challenge on Goodreads -- now I am incapable of not signing up for any and all. I am open to reading almost anything, but UF, romance of any kind, mysteries and thrillers are my go to choices.

35559 Maybe I missed a countdown somewhere, but I'm showing 11+ hours until Round 4 starts, but our Round 3 spreadsheet is locked. Is there a break in between that I don't remember from previous rounds? (I am cutting my finishing time close....)
35559 I'll volunteer for DQs. Team Pride.

35559 I've got a couple for #3 -- tell me which cover works better for "hot"...

Hunted (Dark Protectors, #3) by Rebecca Zanetti (hot embrace)
Scorpius Rising (The Scorpius Syndrome #0.5) by Rebecca Zanetti (hot man) (this one is shorter)

35559 What do we need if Jennifer does 4..#3? I'll see if I can find something short that fits.

1. Read a book with red writing on the cover where the title contains the letters L-A-V-A (doesn't need to be in that order) - Laila

I can get 4.

35559 Finished. On to the next section!
Aug 17, 2019 02:42PM

35559 I'm about halfway through...do we have to be done by the end of that countdown?

35559 Jennifer wrote: "Looking at a book I have Into the water has 9 characters. I will get that done this weekend"

I'm on book 6.

Jennifer, I have that one on my list -- let me know how it is.
Aug 15, 2019 05:13PM

35559 I have a book 6. Jennifer I can switch tasks if you have a 9 character one on hand? I have family coming over the weekend though, so can probably only get one done in a timely fashion to give us time for next week.

Can you all start on the secondary tasks while we finish up the lava tasks? As long as you don't finish?
Aug 13, 2019 06:27PM

35559 Paper and Fire is going very slowly, so I'm going to sub it out for Planning for Love which I should be able to finish tomorrow.

I also put a book in for the more than 9 characters spot -- The Price of Time -= but I can move it if someone else has one that fits.

(Laila I'm sorry I don't know how to add the book titles to the SS as links....)
Aug 11, 2019 06:20PM

35559 Everyone ready? Feels like this has been in planning stages for a while....

I've got Paper and Fire (The Great Library, #2) by Rachel Caine ready to go for the trilogy task.

For other challenges this I'll be reading these 2 books - if we need them.
Wild Embrace (Psy-Changeling #2.5, 5.5, 11.5, 12.25) by Nalini Singh which should work for the author with more than 7 published works (Nalini Singh) and possibly more than 9 characters (but its an anthology, so not sure if that's cheating?)
The Tycoon's Revenge (Baby for the Billionaire, #1) by Melody Anne -- I think will work for 9 characters... but I'll keep count to see.

35559 We are skipping Group 1 in the safe zone, correct?

Looks good Laila. I'll see what I get read in the next week and then pick up another book or two.
