I loved the story. Definitely going to read the 2nd and 3rd book!

1) I wasn't expecting that Calcifer is fallen star. Happy that he is free now, but decided to stay with Sophie and Howl.
2) Sophie got back her youth and appearance. Howl was helping her, but not really successfully.

I don't like King - he is just so irritating and not likable.
While Howl was sick, he was more childish than ever, he needed all the attention he could get.

I loved this quote! So independent!

Just finished chapters 1 - 7 and I really like it. The story is really interesting, the writing style is beautiful.

Some thoughts about the book so far:
(view spoiler)[Lettie and Martha - I am so glad that they switched and decided to do something they like and not what they mum wants them to do. But it's causing some problems/misunderstanding already.
Sophie - she was trapped in her "past" life when she was young and easily manipulated by Fanny (mum). In some way, the witch spell should make me sad, but I am happier than that bc she is now "free" and she now showing that she can be boss too.
Howl - I like him but in someway don't really. Too this far he is not so MC in the book, I hope we will learn more about him and his actions in future chapters.
Michael - is really nice and lovely guy.
Calcifer - is playing by his rules. I really want to know will he break his promise or not etc.

I am so happy, now my road is heading to Master's degree.

Some thoughts.

Defense Against the Dark Arts: I think we should look up all "free" books where are creatures/monsters etc. I think we have some books left that classify for it and after that search and read books for the defense/attack item in the title.

I will look at books that have left and see maybe there are something for Transfiguration.

The Moors will be the perfect place for our creature for sure!
I think any book we have read will apply for classification. But I haven't rated any book 4 or 5 stars lately, so I can't really help with that.

I defended my bachelor thesis and now I have BSc.

Now, I have lots of free time, so I can read more and I will look at all our "free" books and will do some connections to creature and transfiguration and maybe we even have books for charms, but didn't notice that :D

Sarah, some previous posts our Captain posted what we still need for classes. For spells, we use books that can't be used in any class. For example, I am tackling Astronomy class, but we still need 1 book for it.

You can read almost whatever you want (no poetry, graphic novel, children books over 25k words). So answer to your question, you can still read this book and our awesome captains will decide how this book work in our favor.
