Renee wrote: "Pssst......There may be a team role play challenge coming up if the individual one works out well."Well that would be awesome! I would so be up for that.

So for those girls who were interested in the role playing challenge, but were a bit put off by the complexity, I thought you might like to know that once you get the hang of it, it's really a lot of fun. I highly recommend it, but that might be because I was a bit of a gaming nerd in a prior life :)

Oh, that is just... creepy.
Renee wrote: "I don't think I've read any other King. I'm really enjoying this so far."I have't read Stephen King in years - like at least a decade - and reading The Stand has reminded me why I used to love him so much.
V,
It was one of my favourite SK books when I was reading him. Needless to say, I don't look at clowns the same way.

I've quickly finished a 112 page book for another challenge, so the 100-160 page group is checked off.

Thanks V :)

Book format, I am pretty slow when it comes to audible books cause I just use them for my work commute. I am up to chapter three though and am enjoying it so far, so I should be able to push through it :)

And lots of coffee :)

Lol.. Will do ST

Ok, The Stand is downloaded, hibernation has started - you probably won't see me for a while ;)

Ok, unless someone else has a 900+ page book they want to read for this challenge! I am happy to read Stephen King's The Stand, the uncut version is over 1000 pages. I used to read a lot of his books but never got round to The Stand, so happy to try it.

I've put down the books that I am currently reading that should be done by the 18th

I assume since it's already the 3rd Jan here and I finished one this morning I can count it?
Renee wrote: "The Chickadees will need to read a book from each category for all their books to count towards the duel."Oh gotcha, i thought you meant Air as a team.

Good idea Snowtulip.

I know! Dragonfly in Amber, was good but it felt like wading through mud
A competition like this should be fun though. Maybe we'll be lucky and one of the other Air teams has War and Peace on their TBR list ;)

Crap, a book over 900 pages! War and Peace anyone?
Nothing like a bit of interteam competition :)

Ok, so I finished the first book in the Discworld series, and didn't get anyone to comment on the same book as me on the Discworld series read, so haven't classed it as a buddy read. However, I am assuming if someone responds to one of my post at some point during this challenge and I get some interaction, I am assuming I can then add it as a BR, given this book was read during the challenge time period?

I have tried to convinve my partner to read The Martian, because he did science at Uni, so thought he might actually be interested - no sale. He will listen to audiobooks if we go on a long trip, so I asked if he would listen to it in the car during his commute to work - no sale. grrrr. Next time we go on a long road trip, I might force him to listen to it then :)
