Oh that’s nice to know Vaidehi, I hope you enjoy them. I haven’t got to
Confessions yet but am halfway through
A Memory Called Empire an I’m enjoying it. If political intrigue on faraway planets is your thing then this book’s a good one :)

Skipping this task : Read a book shelved (listed on the first page on GR) as 2002. I can’t find a book that both fulfils the task and is a book I want to read.
Going North (title starts with A-M)
Books to be read:
S -

I -
Life After Life by Kate Atkinson - character: Isobel (Izzie) - Read: 1 May, 2022

Hide by Nell Pattison author last name: Pattison - read 14 May, 2022

If there are any Mods online, just wanted to let you know that my entry seems to appear twice on the spreadsheet - lines 104 and 110.

Can I sign up for the maze please - Easy works for me.
Thanks :)

Hi Team, I know it’s close to the end but I’m going to have to withdraw from TT. I have too much going on at the moment and I’m not getting the time to read. When I do get the chance it’s stressful because all I can think is I have to finish the book before deadline, which I ultimately can’t achieve anyway, as something else ends up needing my attention. Good luck with the last week or so and I’m sorry my contribution has declined in the last few weeks, life just got unexpectedly busy.

I’ll be finishing at least one more book, maybe two if I can finish the second on time.

I loved the Buffy and Angel Series, I was sad to see the end of both of them, although I do see that the Buffy series had run its course.
I enjoyed the True Blood Series, but preferred the books. It definitely declined towards the end though.
I hate to admit it but I really enjoyed The Vampire Diaries and The Originals TV series too. I tried to read the books but stopped after two because they were truely awful.

I’ll be reading under my quota this week too, so there should be room to move for those reading over.

I’m reading
A Wrinkle in Time off the bad books list. I’m thinking it could be used as the ‘consequence’ in a story?
Lucy wrote: "So I just read up on the bad books list, and searched up why someone thought Iron Gold was bad because the Red Rising trilogy was one of my favorites. And I probably shouldn't have looked but now I..."I loved the whole Red Rising series and I also enjoyed Iron Gold and will happily go on to read the next one. The main issue is there are multiple POV in this series, so you might not necessarily enjoy all of them, but conversely you’re bound to enjoy some of them 😀

Oh that sucks about Iron Gold, but yay for The Knife of Never Letting Go :D

Iron Gold is on the Bad Books list for the Lust mini-challenge, so it’s potentially worth points from the 4th anyway if we can use it in Part 1 and 2 of the mini-challenge.

It might be worth taking advantage of the week 5 bonus of using bad books for both challenges and maximising our points. At minimum it would work out as equivalent to a sin bonus for every bad book read (as long as book titles fit into a part 1 scenario) and like you say Erin, bump to nine points per book each time we complete a story.

There’s a few of my all-time favourite books on that bad book list 😂

If anyone was to finish
The Girl With All the Gifts in week 5 you can use it for both parts of the Lust challenge, which would also equal 7 points and count to completing a Lust part 1 set, which adds another 14 points. Obviously, that would only be if you finished it in week 5 though. Otherwise sin Bingo would definitely be the way to go.

Wow Sally, that’s a scary situation to find yourself in. Great to hear your mum recovered and is well enough to head home!
Rose wrote: "I just read
which sadly has no color cover and no animals that I can find. I'll have to..."This book sounds like an interesting read, another one for the tbr list!
Rose wrote: "It's really hard to figure out where to stick non-fiction in this challenge."I find that most challenges don’t give much thought to non-fiction, I would love to see a challenge where non-fiction books are given equal opportunity. I know that it’s not the most popular genre but there is still a multitude of people out there who do read them.
It also irks me how non-fiction is often combined with historical fiction like all non-fiction is about historical events or people and they are therefore alike. I’m not sure how my books on, for instance, mountain climbing, raising kids, or healthy eating have anything in common at all with historical fiction! I like historical fiction too, but I think they are two very separate genres that shouldn’t be given short shrift by being lumped in together because they are probably the two least popular.
Oops, totally hijacked the thread there with my rant 🤭

I believe a Malamute is a type of dog, sorta looks like a large husky.
