Hi everyone. Sorry I'm a bit late in checking in. Had a busy few days.

I'm Vikki from Northern Ireland. I think I've taken part in all the Tower Team challenges although I joined the last one late. I read a mixture of genres but this year has been mainly crime & thriller. Last night I finished The Night Stalker which I really enjoyed, although it's not for everyone, especially if you're very squeamish. I've just started a cozy mystery, Murder is Binding to tick off New Hampshire for another challenge I'm doing. Afterwards will be a halloween themed book, Trick or Treat

I'm kinda the same Mary, especially if I'm reading more than 1 book at once. But I usually finish at least 1 book a week, sometimes 2. Rarely more than that. So I just went for a book a week option.

This thread really did seem to just die. Did anyone finish the book, or is anyone still reading?

1. Why did you decide to join this read? What are your initial impressions of the book?
I'd noticed it on Goodreads before and seen some good reviews. It suonded interesting and if I'm honest the cover also caught my attention. I meant to try to read it last month for another group read but didn't get a chance to get a copy then.

2. Did Mare read too much into Shade's letter or do you think he is part of the 'terrorist' group?
Like a lotta people have already said, I also thought he was involved in it, or at least knew about it.

3. Will we see Kilorn again? Will he be part of a (usual YA) love triangle in this book do you think?
Yeah, I think we'll see more of Kilorn... I'm not sure if it'll be part of love triangle though. In the YA genre it's certainly a possibility...

4. The Silver's powers seem so varied. If you had the choice, which would you rather have?
I'm going to agree with christina on this one- I think I'd like Elara's powers to get into someone's mind. That could be very powerful.... I always think it's interesting to know what someone else thinks, what makes them do what they do...

5. How did Mare get this sudden power? Did Cal accidentally pass some power on to her? Does it only come out if she is in danger?
I think it's always been there, but the circumstances at Queenstrial triggered it. Initially danger, or extreme emotion might trigger it, but I think she can learn to control it...

6. Did you like that Cal got her this job or should he have just left her alone?
I think it was better than conscription... (I have finished the book now... but reading it at the time that was my initial thought).

I owe a huge apology for this week. I think I finished 1 book... After my last post (on Monday?) things went majorly downhill. But I'm glad to say things have been improving over the past few days, but I've hardly had a chance to do much reading, be online etc. Hopefully I haven't impacted on our final result too much...

Sorry I didn't manage to finish my book for last weeks deadline. And not been making much progress so far. Let's just say Saturday turned into the day from hell & not a lot better yet. I just don't wanna go into details in public, but felt I should at least apologise for a limited contribution. Hopefully I'll get my current book finished and the Karen Rose one I'd added to spread sheet before the end.

Past few days just seem to have vanished on me... but I will have my next book finished before the deadline - Normal

Next week.... I'm gonna read another Karen Rose book and I've also optimistically added Voyager. Hoping it will be the much needed kick up the backside for me to finish it!

I'd be the opposite Angel - I'm not a morning person so I do what needs done, that's when I feel most lazy. I tend to be busy in the evenings with different things on

Finished Run Run As Fast As You Can

I'm also hoping to finish another book tomorrow which I started during my travels - Run Run As Fast As You Can not too much left in it. Monday & Tuesday just seemed to merge into 1 big long day as I was up from 7am california time on Monday morning and not back home until around 9.30 UK time on Tuesday night. Which included over 11 hours on flights and over 7 hours sitting around airports...
Actually surprised I haven't felt too jetlagged today

Wow... didn't realise you used a colour extract tool etc to work out the colours for the covers. I guess it saves on people arguing. Glad mine works ok for it. :o)
