I feel much slower than some of you guys. Still working through my first book.... I usually only manage 1-2 books a week depending on their length and how much time I have so I'm where I should be with it at least. :o)

I've started my first book... Storm Glass Although it doesn't fit any of the current goals, it's over 500 pages so a few extra points for that at least :o)

Less than 24 hours now :o)

Chris - I'm sure plenty of people here think the same about only getting to read about cowboys. LOL.

Amy - I've been around a lot of Scotland over the years. Was last in Glasgow in August and had been in Bathgate in May. Was there a couple of other times, but outside the central belt area. I love Scotland, it's just like my 2nd home. :o)

Chris - don't worry about being "late", I've only joined the party today too!

I don't even try to justify it, even though my to-read pile just keeps growing Sandy. Perhaps if I got snowed in with no TV, no internet, no iPhone then it would finally start to shrink!

It's been a while since I took part in the Src too, but I did enjoy taking part in it. Perhaps I'll take a look at the Winter tasks & consider re-joining. My problem is in December I tend to read a LOT of seasonal books. Although last year I read a few seasonal crime/thrillers which was a change to the usual chick lit style seasonal books. I had said I wouldn't buy any more, but then I saw a few that grabbed my attention in the shop today, & I already bought another 1 a few weeks ago. Oooops
