I am with you! It's strange -- I'll sign up for all sorts of challenges and games, and I love lists, but I drag my feet on reading fine print and rules (100 pages? 150 pages? whatever!).

Nothing so dire!
◈ Q: What does it mean "Participating in a BOM" ? Answering a set or comment? Or do we need to answer all days to get the 20 points? Or is a 20 points per set of questions?
A:Provided you add to the discussion at some stage through the book. It doesn't need to be answering a set of questions if that doesn't appeal to you. You may just pop over and give some thoughts. It is just one set of points per book
The questions are just to give a starting point -- you can answer some or none and just give your thoughts.
I voted for The Hate U Give because I just got it from the library. I requested the others but who knows if they will come in time. It's 30 days until the Hate discussion starts, so I can read that now, right? Although I have a few other things due first...
I've got several books on the go right now:Palimpsest is for a book club (and I hardly ever get to go to the meetings, but I try to keep up) and it doesn't seem to have a plot so it's slow going.
The Door at the Crossroads looks fun but the font is small so I keep grabbing something else. Maybe I should have looked for the ebook version, where I control the print size!
And Maplecroft is supposed to be good but it looks scary and I'm not very fond of horror, so I'm leery of reading it.
And I just noticed that A Long Way Home is due in a week so I'd better get cracking on that. I bet I finish it before any of the others I listed. I loved the movie so I hope the book doesn't disappoint.
Shannon, did you see on the BOOKS READ thread that two of your books aren't getting picked up?Texas Heat isn't showing up on your tower shelf, and Delivering Dantedoesn't have the end date marked.
Avid Reader, Taking Chances isn't showing up on your Tower shelf either.
Title: Blood, Bullets, and Bones: The Story of Forensic Science from Sherlock Holmes to DNA by Brigid Heos

BOM: Nope
Rating: 3 stars

Shannon, I think the "date read" is not marked on this one.

Shannon, I'm not seeing this on your Tower shelf, so the points aren't getting picked up.

Avid Reader, I'm not seeing this on your May-the-Fourth book shelf, so we aren't picking up your points.

I just checked and it seems to be working now, so whatever you and Claire did managed the trick. 979 pages, 130 points!
If the captains need to concentrate on the new challenges, I'm OK with quitting. If some people want to complete things, I can keep filling out cards.Hey, I just noticed that I read two books with lots of bugs in them. So I could fill out that card as well. Or not.
I'm having fun with Tower -- it's an excuse to clear out my shelves and to read some longer books. Except a friend just mailed me his manuscript (his first attempt at a novel) which won't count but I want to read it quickly.
Looks like the fixed the glitch in the spreadsheet. Our highest count is now Nicole with 11 books.Wow, ELEVEN! That's some amazing reading!
