Chapters 17-18
Standing in for Brie (Moirai)
37. I think Loki knew what he was doing, he knew by telling Mr. Town not to do it, that he would be compelled to, probably believing that there would be no consequences. Loki and Wednesday seemed to be very much in control the whole time.
38. Knowing that he's Wednesday's son, that must play some role in how they treat him
40. No, it makes perfect sense. His death was the only thing that got the others to join together. I suspected that he had orchestrated the event, but wasn't quite sure how. If the death was fake, or something along those lines. But this makes sense, that he died to start a cause that would ensure he would live on.
41. It was what I expected, that Shadow would not be able to bring her back to life, but would find a way to let her truly die. It also made sense that it happened at that time. After what Shadow has been through, he seems to have grown and no longer needs Laura to take care of him or fix things for him.

26. I thought the 'time travel' aspect was interesting, or at least them losing all sense of real time. And I appreciated meeting characters where it was obvious who they were meant to be, I'm not picking up on them very quickly usually.
27. Well...the new gods are really portrayed as rather evil, with that horrific scene killing Bilquis, so going to go with old gods.
28. It's interesting that Sam is the first/only person that Shadow has been able to confide in. She accepted it, and him even after Audrey accused him of murder. Since both women had been given the same information about him, it was telling that Audrey immediately assumed his guilt and Sam was willing to listen to his side of the story. I do think Sam will be important, although I have no idea how, since I'm really not getting how the story is going to develop.
29. He can't really be dead right?
30. Shadow so far has only been doing things for other people. We'd already learned that the robbery he got involved with, and why he ultimately got arrested, was because Laura wanted him to. He was coming back to a job someone else got for him. And when that went away, he just followed Wednesday in what he wants to do. So yes, i think from that perspective she is right. I think he still has a lot of growing to do.

04 December 2015 Chapters 10-11
22 - That's a really interesting interpretation, I hadn't thought of that! That fits with the way Easter was talking, how no one actually remembers her or her origin, but they still hide Easter eggs and all that, and she considers that good enough.
23 - I still think that Laura will not be able to come back to life, but Shadow will eventually figure out how to let her die completely
25 - It certainly seems like the people in the town are a bit too eager to share how much they love the town and how perfect it is. Something else is going on, so it seems plausible that Sophie's guess is accurate. The gods are probably involved in some way because I can't believe there's any coincidence happening in this story.
