I won't get too much reading in this weekend as my husband's brother is getting married on Saturday and it's an out of town wedding. But other than that, the only other thing I have planned for the rest of the month is dinner for my brother's birthday next weekend so I should be able to finish quite a few more books in the second half of the month.
Got to one of the last 9 books I have left from 2014 (the oldest year of books left on my TBR)!
Unfortunately I really didn't like it but hey I had the first 4 in the series on my TBR so that's 4 books removed.
I'll be picking up the third book in the Expanse series in the next few days which I know is 500 something pages, so I can definitely take one of those.
In addition to the Vince Flynn book I put on the spreadsheet, I am also probably going to read the original Jason Bourne trilogy.I've read the first two books before, but I never got to the last one so I'd like to read that one and it makes sense to just reread the other two as my copies are 601 pages, 680 pages, and 739 pages.
So they'd all work for the 600+ tower. More than likely I'll read the first one this month and the other two next month.
I may be able to take more than one if needed. Just need to see if I can fit them around the other books I have planned.

I can take one. I have a couple on my TBR I've been wanting to get to.
Robin (Saturndoo) wrote: "If it is a book you started on the first day of the month it will just say the Month and year."This is actually intentional on Goodreads' part. Back when there used to be a Feedback group, a staff member mentioned it was done that way so people who only want to track by the month & year can have it shown that way as they weren't able to code things so you could not select a day. The date of the 1st is still on there (if you go to your review you can see it) but they intentionally don't display the date on your shelves if you select the first of the month.

awesome, can a you please add the page count of 700 to this version of Andersens Märchen..."
Done!
Robin (Saturndoo) wrote: "HMMMM....I went to log my books onto the planning SS and I see everything is locked. When they become unlocked I will come back and log them in😁"I'm guessing they only want us to enter stuff on the Books tab and the captains will do the others? So we would fill out the columns indicating what mini tasks they work for and the mods would decide where to put it.
It wasn't like that earlier today so I'm assuming it was changed recently.
I have finally accepted that I'm not going to continue on with Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter universe and removed 13 of the books from my TBR, 4 of which were part of the list I have for this.
I enjoyed the books I had read in the series back in 2015, but after 8 years I just don't think it's realistic that I'll continue.
Judy wrote: "A little less than 24 hours to go until we get started! Any last-minute books you‘re still trying to finish? Everyone got their first read picked out already?..."I have a few books left that I started in April that I need to finish off but I should be able to get those out of the way tomorrow as I took the day off work for a dentist appointment and am free otherwise.
So I should be able to start my first book for the challenge on Tuesday although I haven't decided what to start with yet.
I own City of Brass and haven't read it yet, so if that one wins then I can participate in that one (I don't have any of the other books in that poll). As for the other poll, I don't have any of those books but I can get 11/22/63 from work if it wins although I'm not super interested in it but could read it for the points.
A little late (curse you Goodreads for your notification issues), but hello everyone!I'm Melanie and I live in New Jersey, USA with my husband and our 2 cats including the very handsome orange boy that is my profile picture. I work in finance and thankfully have been WFH since 2020 so I have time to pop on here pretty frequently throughout the day.
I am primarily a romance reader (historical, contemporary, suspense, paranormal) but I also read a lot of mystery/thriller books with the occasional urban fantasy or sci-fi. I also read comics/graphic novels and manga but those won't be useful for this challenge. As to what I don't read, I do not like literary fiction or high/epic fantasy with very limited exceptions but otherwise there aren't really any genres I actively avoid. (One exception to my high/epic fantasy dislike is actually the May BOM Kings of the Wyld which I highly recommend.)
I'm a pretty quick reader, I can read about 100-150 words per hour. I normally only read 1 book at a time (and finish most books in 1 sitting), but I've been trying out reading multiple books at once this year (currently in the middle of 9! books at the moment). Not too sure how much I like it, but I told myself I'd give it until at least halfway through the year before I decide if I'll continue to read this way.
Here is my TT shelf for the challenge.

I'm looking forward to the challenge starting with you all. Now I just need to finish up the books I have on the go already before May 1st gets here.

Ohh, I really like the treasure hunt idea.
