Hi Tammie. Good job!

Next we are prioritizing everyone picking a book for event two- Page jumping. Smart and Sexy will work for that event if you want to read it, otherwise you can pick another.

We have a couple options for the chariot, so don't feel obligated to read it for that.

35559 Hi Sam,

We have finished heat one, so all events are open to work on. Finishing heat 2 and knocking out chariot are the next priorities.

The event sprints are full, but check back in for some captain sponsered fun in that arena :)

35559 Fun fact. I read too much partly because I am a raging insomniac, and have to stop looking at bright screens two hours before bedtime, which means two hours of reading a night. It's surprisingly effective.

35559 While I'm at it, does anyone mind if I reserve one of the 500 page + distance shots in event 4 ? I really want to start the sequel to Promise of Blood (Powder Mage, #1) by Brian McClellan , and it's so huge it would be great for a long sprint.

OH. HA. Your book with the wheel on it (for event 5)! I can see how that was confusing direction. lol

Did you run Golden Son through the color extractor? It looks good, but checking since that's the way the Mods are judging that spot.

We have that slot open, free and clear, since everyone has a book already. So I can switch you, or can put you down for both, and you can let us know a bit later if Maybe Someday won't be in in time.
You just have to let us know in advance if you aren't going to get to it (like a week before the end?), so we can replace that position.

35559 I usually have a work audiobook as well as real book going, so I'm reserving a spot in page jumping for The Player of Games (Culture, #2) by Iain M. Banks .

Ha. We are trying to give event 5 priority, but all events are open to work on at this point.

So I'll put that one down for page jumping, and you can read your wheel book now.

Awesome :)

Don't be silly, you know loved ones are only there to stare at you as you frantically chew through books to appease friendly people from the internet ;)

Honestly, take all the time off reading you need to have a great trip. Event 1 is the most time dependent, and you sailed right through that.

Have fun!

35559 Okay guys,

Our beloved captain, and equally beloved other co-captain, have fallen (asleep).

I'll be around occasionally to answer questions while I'm at work, so let me know if the rapid happenings left you with some questions on what do now :)

35559 Does anyone else put far too many holds in at the library when they are planning what they might want to read for challenges? I'm assuming that not just me....

Luckily for our points, it pains me to leave library books unread by the due date, so I just committed to some serious reading time.
