Looks good, Stephanie! I added both books, so thank you!
On the titles, you can only use the first letter of the first word (unless it's an article like The or An). But they both worked out great, so it's fine. So for Phantom we can use the T or P, but not the O.
Action Required!A few housekeeping items as we wind down the first week! I'm double-checking our Wheel shelves against the spreadsheet.
Jenny, we couldn't add Killer Chef because it isn't 160 pages. Unless it was the wrong edition?
Vickie - hope you are having a great week. Will you have a book for us by the deadline today?
Everything else lines up with the sheet as far as I can see. Great first week, team!
I have The Silver Cobweb that I can read for it. I have all of my old Nancy Drew collection still!Louise, I will have another finished shortly that has O, T, I, and N.
I'm home!! Louise, I will start to be a good co-captain now and pull my weight. Let me get some dinner and get settled and I'll catch up.
Posted Still Life. Need to post another tonight.

Louise, I’m still alive, just buried in meetings. I finished Still Life and will finish another probably tonight or tomorrow. I fly back Friday night and plan to find a short book to fill in for a letter or two before the end of week 1.
Added to my shelf! Should be done with Still Life tonight and possibly one other tonight or tomorrow. I'll be back to help more on Friday, Louise!
Death of a Charming Man by M.C. Beaton
309 pages
Date Read: 10/29
P - Priscilla
T - Tracey McWhirter
N - Nancy Macleod
Yes, Louise and I will add them from your books read posts. I am in California on a work trip and not with super reliable wifi at the moment but we will be sure to get it all entered!Louise isn't in the US so her sleep schedule is different from mine, too. :)
I'll add it to my planning for next week!Off to California. I'll check in as often as I can. Two books in process and two more for sure this week.
Yes, for word in text. Absolutely right. For genre, here is some extra info:
GENRES
For these "word as genres" we have alternatives you can use as follows:
Word: Can also use:
SKELETON > CLOSET
BROOMSTICK > FLYING
TOMBSTONE > GRAVEYARD
POTION > MAGIC
CANDY CORN > TREAT
JACK-O-LANTERN > VEGETABLE
COBWEB > WEB
CAULDRON > WITCH
All other genres, you need to use the word as given
You CAN use plurals
You can NOT use hypenated words (e.g. black-author does not work for black)
Where a word is already hyphenated, you can take out the hyphens (e.g. trick-or-treat you can use trickortreat)
It's quiet around here! I hope that means you are all deep in your new books. I started Still Life yesterday and it's really good so far. I am about halfway through and have no idea who might be guilty, which is a good sign.
Also have Death of a Charming Man, Ten Things I Love About You and Across the Universe for this week. Not sure what else will end up in the pile since I'm traveling. That may be it for this week.
Just finished up my lingering reviews that needed writing, got my audiobook loaded onto my phone, and started planning out which books I am taking for my week in California. Unfortunately I won't have a ton of reading time but I will get a little in each night before bed, and some audio listening on the flight and my nightly run. I'll check in as often as I can!
My first book will be Still Life by Louise Penny. Definitely can use for P, but I will keep track of characters as I listen.
