I've finished my 3rd book of the week, a sin bingo! Yay!
A Kiss of Shadows was fine in my opinion, nothing special. But it's weird, because I felt like I'd already read it before, or at least something very similar.

Not sure yet what I'm going to do now: try to read a book before the end of the week or making a dent in my big book for next week. Or maybe I could try to finish Outlander, but I still have 500 pages to read. Hmmm....

Guys, I found a Golden Oriole completely by chance.
I wanted to read a big book to win us some good points and decided to try Riders, because a friend of mine once recommended it and I found it for just 1€ at the second hand bookshop. I'm 70 pages in, it's like a book version of a soap opera such as the bold and the beautiful, or something like that. It's completely ridiculous. I'm not sure if I'll ever listen to my friend's recommendations again, but it's entertaining. haha
And there it was, the Golden Oriole. Lol, I feel like an ornithologist who found a rare bird during a stroll in the neighbourhood park.

That's unfortunate... I thought it only applied to boxes, because that's how it is phrased in the rules. I checked before deciding to read this. It should be rephrased at the very least.

I'm sad because I really want to use the edition I have on goodreads. I guess I could change it after the challenge is over. *sigh*

I have a book containing all three novels. It's not a boxed set, so if I'm not mistaken we can use it as one book.

Okay, Jenny. You know what, it's a very big book. I'm motivated, but we never know. I might not be able to finish it. I'll try of course, but things can happen and come in the way. So I'd say go for it. We can always use mine for easy animals;

There was also a marmoset, but too bad they don't specify pygmy marmoset.

There's Macaw in His Dark Materials (really in the first book of the trilogy).
I'm calling dibs on that animal, unless Jenny really wants to read her book of course

I'm probably going to attempt reading His Dark Materials next week. There should be many animals to choose from in there.

I'm glad to hear that. I also struggled through the first book, but still liked the story. So I thought I would give the second book a try. But I just couldn't enjoy it. It's so info-dumpy all the time, and being constantly in Shaun's head was not fun. I think I'm done with this series.

I'm not sure. I can manage a third book no problem. Maybe a fourth, but that's not for sure. It depends on the size of that book and on how much I manage to read today and tomorrow. On weekends I don't have that much time to read, unfortunately.

It's been a slow week reading wise. I've been reading but it's not exactly working for me...

Maybe I should too... But in english. The french version, which my mum owns, doesn't have such a big difference in pages anyway.
