Thanks Lexi!

Haha I love that! I'm SO excited to get started. If we were placed together based on the same time zone, we'll be starting at 2pm on Oct 7th. A bit awkward starting in the middle of the day but that probably means the weeks will end later for us as well which is good.

Sadly, I haven't put as much effort into Turf Wars as I did last time. I sig..."
I'm new to reading challenges so I'm still in the honeymoon phase where I get so excited when I hear about a new one (especially the team challenges) that I'm signing up for everything :|. So far, I have been able to manage okay but it is just a matter of time before I get burned out as well.
The good thing about TW is that everything you read counts for points!

Thank you for the information! I am currently reading for the Turf Wars challenge in the Game Night group (We're on the same team, Donna!) and it has really pushed me to read more than I am used to. I am currently averaging 5 - 7 books a week and I hope to continue with that momentum if I can. I can help out if we're not meeting our team target.

The Chestnut Man by [author:Søren Sveistrup..."
They are both available as audiobooks on Scribd! I'm a newbie when it comes to BOM discussions. What is involved with volunteering to write DQs or is there a link you can provide with further information? I'll try to read both but I'm more interested in The Chestnut Man

1. Pride. What do you take pride in? – Ten Dead Comedians: A Murder Mystery
My ability to laugh things off. In that vein, I have chosen a comedic spoof of one of my favourite books, And Then There Were None
✔2. Envy. What makes you envious? – Game, Set and Murder
I associate envy with green so I picked this book because of it’s cover colour
✔3. Wrath. What pisses you off? Little
Child abuse – you see a little of that in this book
4. Sloth. What makes you lazy or procrastinate? – Dutch Girl: Audrey Hepburn and World War II
Two answers:
a) I always wait until the very last minute to read my library books so I’ve picked this one as it has to be returned soon.
b) I have been really lazy with my nonfiction reading this year
✔5. Greed. What are you greedy for? – Little
I am greedy for more historical fiction books that have great character development, atmosphere and a touch of the macabre like this book.
✔6. Gluttony. What are your guilty pleasures? – Game, Set and Murder
Mysteries are my guilty pleasures
✔7. Lust. What do you lust for? – Married to the Rake
A British aristocratic scoundrel/rake LOL! Much to my husband’s dismay and annoyance 😝

I am! What do you have in mind? :D

I love reading long books during the wintertime! Do you have any specific chunksters you’re most excited about reading?

I really want to read Wanderers. It’s being compared to Station Eleven which was my favourite book a few years back.
I’m not sure it’ll be possible but my goal is to finish more than one book during the first week. Ducks, Newburyport comes in at just over 1,000 pages😶. I’ve heard it’s a fast read though!

Oh dear. At least there’s an upside to the insomnia!

I read 56 books in April but am fairly consistently 20-25 a month since then. April was boring and rainy. September was my lo..."
Another power reader! What is your secret, Lexi? Oh and what exam are you studying for?

Oh my goodness, Donna! How do you manage to read so much?!

That's my shelf. We were at Louder than Life in Louisville. It was wild and so much fun but I'm so exhausted. It was high 90s..."
Wow, that sounds like it was super fun!! 😲

What's your favourite book by him? I can give him a second try!
I really hope you like 1Q84!
