Oh I agree with you both. I was so disappointed and yes, the whining really got to me. I feel it's a real hit and miss with Moriarty for me. I enjoyed 2 of her books, but then totally bum out on others. I literally fell asleep through parts of this. It was an audiobook, maybe that's why it didn't work for me as the others I did enjoy, were physical copies.

I should have Patterson's Woman of God by James Patterson done by tomorrow. That will be another 400 pages.

Btw, Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty was 415 pages

And I cried! I never cry in books but it was so sad :'("

:( I love books that give me an emotional reaction"

Me too, although it doesn't happen a lot. I think the last time was The book thief. The ending was a relief and I clearly had been very worried about the boxer in the basement.

35559 Hi Ashley and Josephine! Great to have you onboard.

35559 I hope you feel better soon Sally. I used to have dreadful migraines.

Lisa, I totally hear you! If I forget my book or Kindle I demean myself by reading pretty much anything I can get my hands on: flyers, product packaging....it's tragic so I try not to fall in that brain dulling trap

35559 Would you rather....

hold a snake or kiss a jellyfish?

Well, if you look at my profile pic, that has been answered :). I don't mind snakes, but find jelly fish disgusting

Great to know, I found with Moriarty you have to keep reading as the first bit is just really slow. I never made it to half-way with this book. Thanks for the tip!
