I don't think any Aussie would ever take offence to you taking the piss out of a PM (and yes that's how we would say that). Did you know we named a swimming pool after a PM who likely drowned? Harold Holt was his name. There's some conspiracy theories of the Russians taking him but really, he went for a swim and never came back...let's name a swimming pool after him, sounds like a great honour

Eldarwen wrote: "I don't know what you're all on about... they cleaned the Seine.... just a few nights of cleaning removes centuries of dirt, didn't you know?? ;-))"ROFL!!
Weird that the men's triathlon was delayed due to pollution, but it was perfectly fine the next day for the women....

Which canals are those, Nous? I wouldn't go near the ones in Amsterdam. I've seen what they drag out of those every year, plus I watched the movie Amsterdamned...I'll never look at those canal bridges the same again!

There's something about sync diving that is mesmerising to me. I can watch that all day
Andy wrote: "Only read The Dry from that seriesthought The Lost Man was better - think it's a standalone book"
I didn't like Force of Nature (the 2nd in the series) as much as I did The dry. The lost man had me totally hooked, great book but a trigger warning should accompany that book.
She's written another one, The survivors. I didn't finish it, didn't like it at all.
I have her first 3 books signed with a little note. Her kids went to childcare with our then foster daughter. I literally bumped into her and went "weird question, but are you Jane Harper?" and she goes "yes?" me: "Oh my word, you are my favourite author at the moment. I love your books" and then we got talking. When I picked up my foster daughter from childcare in the afternoon, the childcare workers had a package for me with her 3 books signed and a lovely note in each of them. I've never taken the books out of the package, keeping them pristine :)

Did you see the skateboarders bus broke down so they all decided to skateboard down to the venue? Classic!
Finished my battle book. Sorry I haven't been around that much this week, it was a crazy busy week and I wanted to get through this book.
There are a few books with the title One by one, so they might even send it back again.... Can you imagine if we're just reading One by one books for this challenge :)

Please swap mine. I didn't get any reading done this weekend. Sorry
Andy wrote: "I have not watched much of the Euros this year, but will have to dig out an orange t-shirt for this evening!"
I watched it with 3 of my kids this morning....4.30am for us in Aus!
Great game, disappointing result. I have 1 England supporter who will now be disowned as he was way too happy with the result :). We'll be watching the finals, again 4.30am on Monday morning...great start of the new school term...

Hi all
Sorry I've been a bit MIA. It's school holidays and I've been a bit unwell. I hope to still get my book done but to be sure, I might ask for a back up just in case.
Ashley wrote: "Chava! Can you add your Mini book (Be More Sausage) |btw that title is so hilariously cute...| to the Main Round 2 sheet with your resources? Thank you!"I've added both mini round books to the main sheet. I hope I did it right
Hey team,I have taken my book out of the ladder. I started and this book is totally not my thing. So there's a #2 up for grabs
