35559 Ok, I actually finished. I liked it a lot. I do agree that some of it was expected but some of it wasn't. I figured out the basics of what happened to Maya earlier but some of the end was a bit strange. I really did like the women. I loved that they showed different view points to traditions. Fun.
35559 Ok, I'm behind you both. May finish tonight, tomorrow more likely. I get what you were saying about Jason now and I'm sad.
35559 Laura, I so want to read your spoilers! I've been busy both at work and home and will only be able to get so far. Did you like it?
35559 I'm about half way through but not quite as far as you, Laura. I'm not sure how far I will get tonight as it will be a bit busy.

I refuse to think badly about Jason. I hope you are wrong, but I am wondering if you grandmother is in the class.
35559 It hasn’t been explained.
35559 I liked the beginning but it was chapter 5 I think that really got me.

I think this will be good for Nikki and I am curious as to what is really going on with Kulwinder. I think I've figured out what she is supposed to believe but I don't think I believe it either.

I understand distraction. Too easy!
35559 I'm glad I'm reading it instead of listening. I am in chapter 6 and I am really enjoying it at this point. Lots of questions and I love the women.
35559 How are you doing? Liking the book?

I'm a bit slow this weekend. So far it is interesting but I'm not that far in. It often takes me a bit to get into a book and I feel like that is happening here. I do think the characters are very interesting.
35559 I have it. Just in time, although it is less than 300 pages so I don't know why you couldn't type it, even without italics.

I will start tonight.
35559 Jenny, you are too funny. I guess I will have to do something to find out why she wanted an arranged marriage.
35559 If it doesn't come in today I'll just buy the audiobook. No worries. It is supposed to be really good and I do want to start it.
35559 Hi! I am looking forward to it as well. I requested it from my library and I'm hoping it comes in tomorrow (it's in transit). I'll figure it out.
35559 Sounds good!
35559 Just checking in. I finished my audiobook and made me realize that we hadn't decided yet.

Hope you are all well and enjoying whatever reading challenges you are working on!
35559 I would be happy with any of these and I chose the last book. I can get copies of One for the Blackbird.. or Erotic Stories from the library but it will take a few days since they have to transport to my location. If you want earlier or We Ride that is fine too and I can get a copy.
35559 I like the 3. Definitely check with Laura.
35559 Interesting list. And funny on the listed twice, didn't mean to. I will read them all.

Let me know what you decide.
35559 What do you want to read next?

I have these waiting:
Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi The Obelisk Gate (The Broken Earth, #2) by N.K. Jemisin The Lost Book of Adana Moreau by Michael Zapata Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Mostly Dead Things by Kristen Arnett and Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi

I'm also up for something else.
35559 Wanted to share. I used to go to the Decatur Book Festival every year when we lived in Atlanta. I miss it so much and haven't found anything like it elsewhere. This year it is virtual. Thought you might be interested in seeing what authors are presenting.

35559 Never mind about the Hannah comment, I misread it. At the end of chapter 19 Katie is leaving Reinhardt's and he says 'Good night, Hannah'. For some reason I thought it was Dan calling her by the wrong name. It makes so much more sense now.

Oh, the duffle bag. Hmmm. No, I don't think it was explained. I assumed he was considering running away. Honestly, I wasn't sure they were going to find the Durants at home. I was thinking that they would escape either through some method they didn't share or by stupidly leaving and getting lost in the woods. I don't remember it being revisited. I can imagine that they had things they didn't want to share though. I get them losing it but wow that was extreme.
