35559 Oh, and I wanted to let you know that UNO sign ups have started. It is a 3 month team challenge. I had fun trying it last year. No pressure, just thought I'd let you know.

UNO2021
35559 Ok, I finished part 1. I'm a bit confused how the two storylines come together, although I have a guess. Time will tell. The end of the section was super crazy.

So far I like it. How he pulls it together will really sway me though. What do you think?
35559 I agree about the back and forth. I do like it and I like how they are interconnected. I find some of the stories a bit funny. I am curious to see how it ends. I am not done yet as I am reading other things but I am making good progress; I'll be done Saturday if not before.

35559 Thank you!
35559 Looking forward to starting! I may get a bit read tonight.

35559 Can we get a thread for The Writhing: A Horror Novel please? Start tomorrow (1/13). Thank you!
35559 I am almost half way through having finished 'where the wild ladies are' (the chapter). It isn't what I expected but I am definitely enjoying. Much more modern than I expected and definitely a thing for hair. Some stranger, some more funny than I expected.
35559 Have you started? I just read the first story so far. Different and not boring. That one was a bit strange but good. I'm looking forward to seeing what the others bring.

I really liked Migrations too. My guess is we can find one we like as much as that this year. We have plenty of time.
35559 I'm really looking forward to this one.

Sounds interesting. I'd be up for it. I need to finish something first.

35559 Can I please get a thread for Where the Wild Ladies Are for Jenny and me? (Others are welcome of course). Starting 1/9. Thank you!
35559 Great! Start Saturday?
35559 Boo. Let me know what you find out. I checked it out today and will have it for 3 weeks, not sure if I'll be able to renew. I'm surprised about the Kindle as my library has the ebook but who knows.

Laura - how are you liking Migration so far?
35559 I'm picking up my copy of Where the Wild Ladies Are tomorrow. Would you be up for starting some time later this week? I'll need to start by next week at the latest to make sure I finish. Let me know and I'll request a new thread.

Also, I just finished listening to When All Is Said by Anne Griffin . So great. I bet it is great in book form too, but if you enjoy a nice Irish accent like I do, the audiobook is the way to go. It also suits the style as well.
35559 Jenny - what a fun list! I'm up for almost anything. I think I'm most interested in Leave the World Behind, Last Human, and Hench but they all sound interesting. I've already read The Shadows and the Circle.
35559 Let me know when you want to start. I'm thinking early January.

I can't wait to hear your new suggestions!
35559 Laura, have you started yet? I must say, I still think about the book a lot and have questions about a few things. Its a really good book that stays with you.

Would either of you be interested in reading Where the Wild Ladies Are by Aoko Matsuda ?
I will be picking up my copy sometime in the next week. I think I got this one off of the NPR top books of the year list.
35559 I finished today. Beautiful. Really a great read.
35559 I'm reading slowly. I'm about 2/3 of the way through. I have so many questions.

Definitely not a book I would have picked but it is so good. Laura, thank you for recommending. How are you coming along?
35559 How is it going? I am reading pretty slow right now, not because of the book though. I definitely understand now about your comment, Jenny, about breaking your heart. I can start to feel that now too. I really wanted to hug young Franny in chapter 2. Still a bit to go but looking forward to it.
