35559 It starts on 2 Dec, but you can join in any time as long as it's within TT (which ends on 16 Dec... or rather 15 Dec for most people in the Western Hemisphere ;D)

35559 Woohoo!
@Kerri, you got Day 3 DQs for Ninth House!

35559 I wouldn’t worry about it too much — especially if sin specification is Wrath ;)
At this point I think the page count points and Sin alignment [if we want to go for that prize category] are more meaningful than the Sin points.

35559 Sorry I am the roadblock, really :(

And then after this book, I'll need to decide whether to work on another long book VS working on a Discworld book, depending on whether we'll need the latter for a multiple of 3...
*defers decision for at least 24 hours*

35559 LOL, I hope you are working on something else in the meantime.
Allison too ;D

35559 I'm still on track to finish my #6 on Wednesday evening EST.
Sorry it can't be tonight! Darn real life!
35559 I can be be back-up for Team Ira.

Do we have an official TT page count for this book yet?

35559 Just finished!
Had to wait until after my kid went to bed anyway.
What is it with these families of ours, keeping us from our book challenges, amirite? 😜

35559 @Jessi, yay, I saw on the spreadsheet that you finished #3!
I will go finish my #4 in a little bit...

35559 Okay, I will aim to finish my #4 shortly after Jessi's #3 then.
I'll leave a couple of chapters until Jessi posts tonight :)

@Allison - no need to rush on your #5 tonight, because I won't be able to finish my #6 until probably Wednesday evening anyway.

35559 @Jessi, approx when do you think you will finish your #3 book?
No pressure, it’s just that I am already halfway done with my #4 (it is short) and am trying to figure out how best to time it. I can either finish it this evening, or, if you need another day on your book, I can switch back to working on my #6 until you say 🙂

See, that right there is what I suspected!
How you can do that, narratively, is impressive to me! I mean, personally I would not be able to move on to a "next" book without getting that closure from the previous book. But I guess if you have read them before it's not so much of a problem. Or if the books aren't super dependent on each other. :D

35559 LOL, you just CLIMB THAT LADDER, girl.

You be the hare, we'll be the tortoise.

35559 And I might read some Discworld!
It'd be either #28 or #30. Just one of them, though, since I want to work on longer books while I've got the Thanksgiving weekend reading time. :D

As of now, my adding one Discworld book, plus Allison's last-minute "In Death" option, gets us a multiple of 3.

@M - I'm a little concerned that your reading of 4 consecutive long #s is going to slow things down a bit. But it might not matter, depending on what other people are doing by the time you get to your second book. That is, there aren't too many definite rungs planned for after your stuff.
Do you have some idea of your reading timeline?

Yeah, I think it’s not possible until GR (California time) thinks it is midnight. I forgot about that.

@Joanne — I know, right? It looks like Lust had one person finish that long Xmas anthology, and they had plenty of other long books too. They may have more people still reading that anthology.
So we’ll see what we can do!
35559 Joanne wrote: "Anyone else have a real Veronica Mars vibe from the ending?"

Lol, I said something like that in my answers! This book was clearly not written for people old enough to have seen that show in its original run. ;)

35559 Well I won’t finish #4 until Tuesday afternoon/evening, so that gives Jessi plenty of time to catch up with you overachievers. 😄

Perfect. :)
If GR allows, can you fudge the read date to 25 Nov?
Wren, I think that would be good for your book too.
(And anybody else who finishes a book between now and whenever it actually becomes 25 Nov where you are)
