Jessi, how did you interpret that convo?

Let’s wait til tomorrow and see what happens.
Picking up an extra 100-200 pager is also an option for more than one of us, I’m guessing, I’d we decide it’s worth doing when we’re down to the wire.
ETA: I could even rereadArtificial Condition, which is only 160 pages but is a Wrath Sin Bingo! I would rather be starting a 700+ pager, but still.
Goodnight all!

*hint hint*
I am hoping the holiday had everyone offline today and they will all appear on Saturday... *crosses fingers*

Got some other ideas too, but I am considering rereading one of my own:
The God in Flight. MM historical romance. One of my favorite books ever, but I haven’t read it in like 15 years.
Anyone interested?

Wrath points, or whatever might be worth more, so we have options. I feel like not every but NEARLY every book has something potentially hateful or wrath inducing in it!
And thanks for adding that extra In Death book. ;)

I had added something for Frankie, but dunno about the rest of you... ?

Weeks 9 and 10: Vanity
Check it out and let us know if you have any questions!
Your captains would like to point out that, although the 7 points per book for the Mini is enticing and people should of course read whatever they want, there are not a ton of long books on there. There are some, but it seems the majority are under 500 pages, and our overall team strategy is still longer books for page count points (plus BOMs).
We have no chance at the “Most Mini-Challenge Points” Prize anyway, so let’s let the other teams worry about that!
[ETA: if you only or mostly tend to read books under 500 pages anyway, then please consider choosing from the Vanity Mini books list! I’m not telling people not to do Mini at all, so my apologies if that’s how it sounded. Just pointing out the page count thing!]
We’d also like to ask you all to start noting “Wrath” options as alternate reasons in the spreadsheet, for every book read for any other Sin or Mini book between now and the end of TT, just in case it starts making more sense to pivot to the “Sin Alignment” prize rather than the grand prize. We are not in the lead in Sin Alignment anymore, but it might be possible to overtake the others again if we focus on that (which we will only consider doing if it looks like Team Lust has irreparably outpaced us on overall points). 🙂

I already have to wait for other people up thru Joanne’s #17, so it’s all the same to me.

Okay, go with Blue, I guess!
In other news, I went ahead and started Discworld #30, so if you’re the only one willing and able to add another something to the list to achieve a multiple of 3... please do!

I think Jessi said she’s nearly done with her #10
Read what you like. Don’t worry overmuch about the “ladder” thing. :)

So the 2 parts of the question are 1) whether anyone would like to add another # to reach 18 books, and 2) whether it’s even worth doing that — or even going past 15 at all, of which I assume the 15th would be Joanne’s — if the additional book(s) are all shortish.

I cannot decide about the Discword book. I do WANT to read it, I am just concerned about it being only about 350ish pages... But then again, we might end up needing some “shorter” books reach our minimum anyway... Plus it has a red cover, so it is 5 points either way, for ladder or for sin. I am fairly sure it will have something wrath inducing in it as well!
So I will just keep reading my other (Sin) book and wait for other people to chime in on whether we’ll be going for that extra “ladder rung” multiple of 3!
And in any case I am going to do Thanksgivingy family stuff for a couple hours...

Because... personally I think I would rather stop at 15 and not read mine, simply in favor of reading another longer book instead.
This way, Joanne’s “In Death” book rounds out 15 (50 bonus points total) and we’ll be done.
We do need more books, be they ladder or Sin, to hit our 30 book weekly minimum, but a few people still haven’t listed anything. Assuming those people are also reading, we should be okay...

So... right now there are 17 series books “claimed”. If someone adds another we can go fo 18 (6 rungs)?

After that I think I will start on a short story anthology or maybe the next Shadowhunters book.
Since it looks like I will have a couple more days to decide on that Discworld idea :)
