35559 I think we can use the sheet that Melanie made to keep track of the finished books? If she can make an extra row if we've finished a book? Or maybe there's no extra row needed, because we've got a row named 'date read'.

Is it your birthday party? If so, happy birthday!

So it starts today! It will be 10 pm for me and as toddler mom I probably will now start a book today because I'm dead beat at those hours. I wake up at 7pm though so I'll have an early..."

I can understand you too. I'm a working mom of a boy of 7 years old. Most of the reading is in the evening when he goes to bed.

So, it has started this morning and now it's evening here. I still need a couple of things to do and will start this evening my first book. Just a small book around the 136 pages to start with.

There's no need to rush the reading, but enjoy it!

35559 I've finished a book, but it doens't match the letters. I can read a book from Robin Hobb for the letter O, but it's translated in Dutch.

35559 Which letters are still available? I had a couple of busy days, so I couldn't check.

35559 I think I'll read Circe if my library has a copy available.

35559 I've just saw it now by reading the rules again. I was a bit too eager.

35559 So, it starts today! Is everybody ready?
Do we need to choose from the meals?
F.e. we choose the sandwich from the fresh meals: do we need f.e. to spell out the ingredients? Or am I wrong?

35559 I can do the 'spell it out' for the second round. Just need to know what word we're choosing: Kagoshima or Petrokavlovks.

35559 I've finished my book for letter H: The Darkest Hour by Erin Hunter
Do I need to report somewhere or is this okay?
Sep 06, 2020 01:25PM

35559 @Nicol: sorry, my mistake (I've confused myself with a challenge of another group), but it can work for H. The author is Erin Hunter :)
Sep 06, 2020 12:31PM

35559 Thanks, Nicol :)
The book that I'm reading is The Darkest Hour: 'Hour' for H.
Normally finished tomorrow.
Sep 06, 2020 08:15AM

35559 I'm doing H. I've got 70 pages to read. So I can finish today or at last tomorrow.

35559 I'm a librarian, so it's interesting to read on how things work in other libraries across the world :)

35559 If we do Kagoshima:
we need 9 members to do a letter. So, right now, how many is their in our team? If we are 8, there's one book left. Maybe this one can be for a faster reader or someone reading smaller books?
I think Japan is not a good option, because of team participation and low points.
And to read books of Japan or by Japanese authors, not everyone has that.

Kagoshima is the right option for us all?
Sep 06, 2020 07:56AM

35559 For me the spell it out is also fine. I'm able to choose between the 2 options.
Maybe, we can do the spell out of Kagoshima, like Misericordia suggested? And for the spell it out, it is always the first letter of the word/name, right?
I don't know when the books need to be started or if you can use books that you've allready begun.
Sep 04, 2020 11:58AM

35559 Ah, I've misunderstood :)

I like Journey to the Center of a Book and I also have lots of books written by Japanese autors or happening in Japan.
Sep 04, 2020 09:52AM

35559 Yes, it's on the 19th. Still not sure in what to read for now.
@Jade: here the libraries are open at their usual hours, but they have been closed for a long period and then for weeks on appointment.

35559 Checking in! I saw in the other thread that there was a place open here. Is it still okay to join here? I haven't received a pm or maybe I've missed it?
Sep 02, 2020 02:59AM

35559 Have you allready made choices for books your going to read?
Aug 30, 2020 12:54PM

35559 I'm in :)
