35559 Thanks, Melanie and Lau for all you're work. I appreciate it. It's afternoon here, so I see what I can do to finish it.

I've been thinking on some ideas for the next round:
- maybe we can make the meals a bit sooner. So that we don't need rush? If we see that there are items that we can use to completely finish a meal, than we can do that?

- I like the idea of using colors for used books. Maybe we can use 1 color? Also the tab 'Round 1 books remaining' is super.

- I'm not an Excel - hero, but I see what I can do.

- the items we've used, we can strike them out. So we don't have a hard time to get through everything and can create meals easier.

Also, I apologise for all the stress yesterday. I had a bad day...

35559 Thanks, Lau, it’s a huge work. I can continue tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for al the help everyone! I think we are doing good.

35559 For now there are 16 meals created. I don't know if I did it right, so please check and change.
Maybe someone else can be captain than me, because I find it a bit to difficult to create everything and adding.

35559 Will do that :)
There are books in pink on our sheet. Why is that? And I've made some meals this afternoon, but they are gone?
Oct 16, 2020 11:10AM

35559 I will strike out every item that I've used for the meals, so we can see what's left.

Okay, I'll correct ir.

The books without a reading date aren't finished or started yet. I've copypasted them to the official sheet, but can't remove them.
I will add 2 more books that I've read.

I try my best, but it's getting over my head. The 1st round of a challenge is always difficult, I think, for me.

35559 Right now, there are 5 meals. With the sandwiches I left the box for 'complete' open, because we can still add some items. I will check this evening. According to my time zone, we've got until Saterday before 11 p.m. to add all the meals to the official sheet. After that, we can't add it anymore.

So, if I'm correct, at that time (Finishes October 17, 9pm UTC Time) customers arrive? Is there someone who then can add all the meals in the official sheet? I won't be online then. I'll make sure that before that, everything is ready to go.

Thanks, Lau.

I think that wasn't mentioned.

35559 I can come online tomorrow at 8 in the evening. (Brussels time zone), if that's okay for everyone?

Yes, it makes sence. Thanks!

Aha, yes, I understand :)

35559 So, I'm going to put the meals here for now and then see how we can add it to the sheet:
Fresh meals:
- fish and chips: fish, potatoes, salt and lemon. Vinegar as bonus.
- coffee: milk, sugar, water.
- tea and water: tea, water.
- sandwiches: bread, egg, jam, cheese, cuccumber, carrots, bacon, salt.
- salade: lettuce, tomato, cheese, salad, nuts.
- curries: beef, lamb, chicken.
- quiches: bacon, egg, ham, spinach.

Desserts, drinks and cocktails:
- champagne
- wine
- water
- sweet cake
- chocolate

Total scavenger points: 68 (bonus points need to be added)

We still need frozen meals. I haven't done the spell it out yet. If I do anything wrong, and I think I am, please let me know.

35559 Lau Maia wrote: "Ok, I thought you were using our spreadsheet to keep track :)"

Yes, but that's the problem. We can use different items from different books, so I don't know if that will work with the sheet, because in the sheet we need to add the meal per book. For example: the first book has only 'fish', but if I look further in the sheet, I can use all the items to make fish and chips. But with the first book it only says 2 scavenger items. Does it makes sence what I'm saying?
Oct 15, 2020 10:22AM

35559 For example: I can make 'fish and chips' with 4 items + vinegar for the bonus points.
If I look at our sheet, the first books says 2 items max. I'm a bit confused here, because we need to have at least 4.
Oct 15, 2020 10:19AM

35559 I'm looking at our spreadsheet now, but I'm combining scavenger hunt items to make several meals. So, items from different books for 1 meal. I hope that I can get it right in our tracking sheet.
Oct 15, 2020 09:41AM

35559 On the other hand, I’ve got time this evening to post the meals, so I’ll do that.
Oct 15, 2020 09:39AM

35559 @Lau: the meals aren’t on the sheet yet, but I’ve created several meals. I gave eveyone time until tomorrow to update the sheet and then tomorrow evening I’ll post the meals here to look at together before we add it to the sheet.
Is that a good idea?
