33903 Checkmate This is War (Travis & Viola, #1) (Checkmate Duet, #1) by Kennedy Fox

Shelf: Debut Author
Finished: 8.24.17
Rating: ★★★★★

...

Damn. This is one of the better enemies-to-friends romances I've read so far. I just love this type of romance. It's almost a guaranteed riot with all the snarkiness (is that even a word?) and pranks. Then when all the misunderstandings and everything work themselves out, and all the love comes pouring in... *le sigh* The warm and fuzzies feel so much sweeter.

Now the ending on this one... LAWD!!! I did NOT see that coming!!! And now guess what?? I HAVE to grab part two! I NEED to know what happens next!! I have a feeling things are gonna get worse before they get better. And I'm going to love every little bit!!

33903 Lucifer's Daughter (Princess of Hell, #1) by Eve Langlais

Shelf: Free Space
Finished: 8.20.17
Rating: ★★★★★

Eve Langlais, being the awesome author that she is, has dished up yet another fabulous read that had me cracking up from start to finish. At one point I was a bit worried this wouldn't end on a good note, but was very happy to see that it did. Even while it left unanswered questions that hopefully I'll get a bit closer to having answers for in the next book.

I never thought that I'd actually be rooting for someone like Muriel and her father, but when you have someone who seems to be even worse than the Devil himself after you, it's kinda hard not to. Add to the fact that she's super quirky, a bit of rebel yet fiercely loyal to those she loves, and I found myself liking her in spite of her parentage and not minding if she and were friends. Oh! And let's not forget about her hot boo thang!!! (Goodness! Does he have any friends with personalities similar to his that like their women plump??)

It's definitely safe to say that the other books in this series will be in my possession within the next five minutes. I HAVE to find out what happens next! :D

33903 Dragons Need Love, Too (I Like Big Dragons, #2) by Lani Lynn Vale

Shelf: 2,3, or 4
Finished: 8.19.17
Rating: ★★★★★

This was a fast paced, sexy read with just enough action to keep you turning the pages. Like the first book in this series, I was disappointed when I got to the end. Only because that was the end of the story and I wasn't ready for it to be over. Honestly, with those two teasers at the end, who would want it to???

5 well deserved stars for this one. I wonder what the third has in store...

33903 Crux (Southern Arcana, #1) by Moira Rogers

Shelf: Kindle Freebie
Finished: 8.12.17
Rating: ★★★★★

Action, suspense, romance, a few laughs here and there... this story has all of that. I thoroughly enjoyed the buildup of suspense... and that climax didn't disappoint too much either.

The characters (the good guys) were nicely fleshed and very easy to commiserate with, while the bad guy (also well written) was one of those that one would love to hate (dude was beyond coo coo for coco puffs).

This is one series I'll be returning to. The other books have already been add to my increasingly large TBR mountain.

33903 I'm not the best with creating names either, but I'm leaning towards Bingo Bandits.
I've also been a captain, but I'm cool with you taking the helm.
