3218 So do I - I've only read the first and started the second one at one time, but I loved what I read and have meant to get back to it. I picked up the 5th book at Seagull on their clearance table for little money, too, which was a bonus. I have put that second book back on my (long) list of 2016 books to read.

Here are the books for those interested in them:

1. Pillar of Fire (The Promised Land, #1) by David G. Woolley
2. Power of Deliverance (The Promised Land, #2) by David G. Woolley
3. Place of Refuge (The Promised Land, #3) by David G. Woolley
4. Day of Remembrance (The Promised Land, #4) by David G. Woolley
5. Compass of God (The Promised Land, #5) by David G. Woolley

3218 Hi, Miguel and David: Yes, this group is still active, although I can't seem to jump start activity for it, but I hope you will contribute whenever you wish to! :)

I saw that you had a new book, Jennie, and David's looks pretty cool, too! Here are the Goodreads covers for them for members who wish to learn more:

By the River by Jennie Hansen and In the Days of Lachoneus The Gathering by David Armstrong

I've added both to my list of books to read.
3218 The Mark of a Giant 7 People Who Changed the World by Ted Stewart

I just finished this book, which goes beyond the ordinary biography/history of great people and makes the case that their achievements changed the world for the better. I really enjoyed it!

Biographies include Abraham; Pericles; the Apostle Paul; Isaac Newton; Marie Curie; Martin Luther King, Jr.; and Mother Theresa.

Is anyone else reading interesting books?
3218 I just finished another Gerald N. Lund book, this from a new series about the World Wars and a German family. Here's my review:

And the book...

Fire and Steel, Volume One A Generation Rising by Gerald N. Lund
3218 I read "The Undaunted" by Gerald N. Lund last month, and it was great. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel.

The Undaunted The Miracle of the Hole-in-the-Rock Pioneers by Gerald N. Lund The Undaunted

Only the Brave The Continuing Saga of the San Juan Pioneers by Gerald N. Lund Only the Brave

3218 I recently read "Divine Signatures" by Gerald N. Lund and thought it was one of the best books I've ever read. Here is my review:

Divine Signatures The Confirming Hand of God by Gerald N. Lund
3218 I just "read" an audio book by Robert Marcum. It was novel about Mary & Joseph (which is also the title, not coincidentally).

Here is the link to the book:
Mary & Joseph by Robert Marcum

And here is my review:

3218 I would have gone to that! I think David Ridges is a pretty good scholar/author.
3218 I recently read - and reviewed, both on Amazon and Goodreads - this book by A. L. Sowards called "Deadly Alliance," which was the third book in a very good series published by Covenant.

I also found a good site that reviews books by LDS women at this link: www.ldswomensbookreview.com/wordpress/
3218 Thanks, Rodrigo!

I started reading The Book of Mormon again in May, and I'm loving the stories, too. It's a little different this time, because I'm reading it on my phone, and none of the highlights from seminary, my mission, and all the years after are there, so it's a little like reading it for the first time, and my perspectives are sometimes different, but it's always the best book ever, in my estimation.

If anyone wants to see my GoodReads review of The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, here is the link:

3218 It came in at the library on Friday, so I started it last night. It's pretty good so far. :)

I'll have to check out Songs of Willow Frost, too.
