29443 Hehe. I'm more likely to claim my epic nerd status! Can't get any more nerdy than a Wizard!

That was one of the reasons I haven't jumped ship from Goodreads with all the drama, and of course all the great folks on the groups on this site.

29443 I'm not a fan of insta-sex. Whether or not one night stands are prevalent in real life, I don't find it very romantic, so I shy away from that storyline, most of the time. I don't think that it's very realistic that people who sleep around freely are going to fall hard and fast for their true love that easily or find their sex to be so special compared to all the other sex they have had. I don't mind love at first sight when done well.

@Lauren, I agree with your point about using rape as a catalyst for character development. That's inappropriate, to say the least. And I agree, that rape doesn't always have to occur. However, a rape-free world just doesn't exist, and I think that may be insulting to women who have been raped to gloss it over like it doesn't happen. On the other hand, I can definitely see women who have been raped wanting to shy away from that content.
29443 I love Tegan from the Midnight Breed series. :)

I liked Sabin in his book more than I thought I would. Not into cocky guys, so that's why he's not my favorite.

I'm going to be a BDB fan until I die. I love the series, warts and all. Reading The King right now, and I realize once again how in love with the series I am.

Aeron is probably my second favorite. I haven't read Torin's book yet, but I think he's my number three.

29443 I haven't gotten to read the Camel Club books, but there is a crossover with Stone and Will Robie, which is very cool. Bullseye (Will Robie, #2.5) by David Baldacci

29443 That's a good idea, Pagan. I wish I was that organized. I use Goodreads to catalog my collection, so it's good to check on there if I own a book now.
29443 BDB--Xhex. I love her toughness, her adaptability and her relationship with John Matthew and Rehvenge.

LOTU--Lucian. He's a sweetie.

Demonica--can't pick.

29443 Goodreads helps so much. I'm glad I can access GRs on my phone when I go to the library.

29443 I say go for it, April!
29443 In my opinion, Mark of the Vampire by Laura Wright is way too similar to the BDB books. The first book is Eternal Hunger.

You might also like the Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian. The first book is Kiss of Midnight.
