I think I'm going to try to start this series soon between review books and stuff. I have a feeling I'll be in love.
Has anyone read this series? I've been getting these for Kindle because I loved Mind Games and Ms. Crane is an Anne Stuart lover. They sound really good. It sounds like the heroes are definitely Dangerous and there is plenty of action and suspense and sexy romance. Book 4 seems like it's mega intense.
Please put spoilers in a spoiler tag!
I think Historical Romance does chemistry a lot better too, because there are social limitations and mores to observe, so people had to take the time to get to know each other. They couldn't just jump into bed together. It's very titillating that they can't do anything physically, but have to cherish the small things like a touch, a look, a glance, carefully phrased words. And the chase aspect is done so well in HR books. One thing that really kills chemistry for me is when the hero is disinterested in the heroine. I like when the hero is crazy about the heroine, and I don't mind if it takes time, but he has to be keen for the heroine. I really like to see the hero chase/woo the heroine.

Welcome to Chemistry class. I mean Romance Novel Chemistry. Here are the objectives of this class.*To learn what makes good chemistry in a romance
*What elements are absolutely essential?
*Which authors have graduate/post-graduate level credentials in chemistry?
*Which couples could set a lab on fire? Their chemistry heats up to 1000 Kelvin.
At the risk of having taken the analogy too far, this thread is to discuss the dos and don'ts and the inns and outs of chemistry in romance novels.
What works for you and what doesn't?

Leona wrote: "Rachel I tried the first book in that series and couldn't get into it...something was off about it with me. I think I might give it another go later down the road though"I agree. I think her new series seems to be better with the special ops highlanders.
I finished rereads of
and
and loved them. Reno is such a crazy hero. I'm totally in love with him. I loved how Daniel from
Cinderman is essential a comic book hero. Sexy Nerd Alert.

I really enjoyed this. Haven't gotten back into the series though.

That's interesting that I didn't even notice the cursing. I guess I was more focused on the other aspects of the story. Yes, he was something else.
Her Russian Billionaire has a hero seeking revenge against the heroine for dumping him years earlier. I liked the way the author addressed the hero's need for "closure."
