If anyone wants some more exposure for their stories before they try to publish/turn in for classes/whatever, you can open an account on fictionpress.net

I've been meaning to read the lightning thief..maybe I'll get around to it this week.
If anyone likes really crazy but true stories, you should definetely read the book I'm reading right now, Running with Scissors. I do have to warn you though, there is a lot of talk about sex heterosexual and otherwise in the book, so if that's not your thing to read about, stay away from the book.

Thank you Reed! I know exactly what you mean...I have a tendency to go off topic myself, but I try to watch it and stay on topic. Worst comes to worst, we can always get an off topic forum for people to babble on in so the rest of the topics will be lively and on topic.

Does everyone like the small size of this group or should we try to recruit people to the group? What is everyone's opinions on this? On the one hand, we seem to have a few very active members and I feel I'm getting to know these people very well..but on the other hand, if we recruited a few more people who would also be pretty active, I don't think that it would be hard to get to know them too. The only thing is I don't really have any friends on here to recruit to the group...so I can talk all I want but I'm not sure how much help I would be if the group does want more members.

I'm really more of a football fan, I actually only participated in Track/Cross Country when I was in high school, so books about runners and books about football are about the only sports books I can follow if they are really detailed about the sport.

Okay, I've verified my email adress now, I think that email had somehow gotten in my spam before, anyhow, you can try again Jeremy.

Well, I've activated my account, is that the same thing as verifying your email or is there something more that I have to do?

What is high heat about? If no one minds, I think I will come up with some catagories for extra points in the reading challenge, they'll be pretty open catagories, like, read a book with a love story in it or read a story where the narrator is female.

You are so lucky that you have so many books to choose from just from your teacher, thats not even including libraries and stuff. I'm going to head over to my library tomorrow (well, later today technically but I haven't gone to bed yet), so if I see something cool there, I'll bring it up.

I can sometimes read a book in a day, sometimes it takes me 2 or 3, it just depends on how long it is and how much other stuff I have going on, ya know?
