seems this was released on cd without his permission, so he's taken it back, declared the cd a pirate, and is selling it cheaply on his bandcamp page. individually, the dubs are killer as you might expect, but the collection has no 'flow' to it, a bit here and there, but hey ho, it's good stuff!

the first of 3 albums on cooking vinyl (well, this edition isn't) because he was making too many albums! the cover shot is one of the most iconic images from dbd era, and that's why i went for this german edition, mint/sealed for 10 euros - took 3 and a half weeks to get here.
anyhoo, i don't detect any drop in standard here, in fact it turns out he was just proficiently brilliant. gots to love a song titled 'balamory death chant', which very pleasingly, after a bit of death chanting, breaks out into the refrain from 'call mother a lonely field'.

live albums? dunno if i'll get to ten, but hey ho.........

a complete listen makes a complete album. a creative version of t,heads 'listening wind' lends a new spin on the song, album ends with just lynval golding and his guitar singing a very poignant 'get up stand up'. as i say unspecially but quite special.
couple of live tracks as bonus, inc a belting take on fb3's 'the lunatics'.

*short note for all you fact fans out there did you know that on the 'more specials' album sleeve, the permanent hype sticker was positioned so that it reads 'mor specials' (m.o.r.) - mibbe makes more sense if you're familiar with the record!
