classic time again, listening to the 2002 remaster autorip whilst waiting for the 2015 remaster disc to arrive! another replacement for vinyl i couldn't live without. chose to get the 1 disc version as the 2nd disc is full of live stuff that i won't have much use for. one of those very few albums where every track is absolute killer!

the fact that the opening pair of singles didn't rip the charts wide open (like they should've in a perfect world), should have been a warning to them before they tried to morph into an 80s pop group. the next album, 'hard' was terrible, and nothing produced since has approached the brilliance of the first three. on occasions i saw them live, they were killer!

originally from 1989, this expanded edition from 2010 stands up very well to contemporary scrutiny, fresh and full of ideas, as well as brain crushing BASS. sound iration are the renowned u.k. producer and musician, nick mannaseh and d.j. scruff. this has a foot in trad dub, and one in experimental dub, a mix of electronic and organic instrumentation, this works very well. part of the genre known as uk steppas.
