Welcome to the group Sheryl! I'm thinking that starting in June or July might be a better option, if that is ok with Kelly and Cleo. Good luck with The Count, it is a good book, enjoy!

24794 Hello and welcome to the group Casceil! I hope that you enjoy it and find some wonderful new reads! Amazing how those college degrees become a distant memory at times!

24794 I'm currently reading Linger, Blood, Bones, and Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef, and Crime Brulee. I'm also getting my copy of The Age of Innocence this afternoon.

24794 I just loaned a book to my mom, and it had one of my magnetic bookmarks in it that I had forgotten about. It was like finding money in the washing machine after a load. Yah!

Hey, I think that Camille was reading Gone With the Wind, not to long ago.

That is usually how it goes! Read one and then get hooked!

Lol! I must hang my head in shame for that one! Thanks for pointing that out, I'm a terrible speller.

24794 Welcome and I hope that you enjoy the book! I have been pleasantly surprised by many of the choices in this catagory.

To read lists are fathomless aren't they?

I have read the series. The funny thing is that we started a discussion thread on this book with this club. It was started when we were still a private group and had 4 members, and all of us were hooked and desperate to read it immediately when it came out. It is still there under group discussions, if you would like to participate/discuss. It isn't a classic, but at the time we just wanted to discuss it as a group, I guess that is the joy of being a moderator! (ha)

I must say that the description for the book is quite grandiose!

I must agree Mo. I thought how patient the person was and creative.

24794 Hmmm, I think that I need to get a copy of it to figure out how the book is divided. Maybe, do it as a summer read, let's go until end of August. How does that sound?
Apr 20, 2012 04:49PM

24794 I'm sorry to say that I had never even heard of this book until Kerri picked it. I can't wait to read it.

24794 Would you two like to put this under a buddy read? Then you could start different threads for each story. Does that interest you? I also wanted to throw my hat into this one, it sounds like a great read.

24794 This is the group read for July and another author that is part of the author challenge. Since this is a longer book, it might be nice to have this one two months ahead to get started on it. Post comments here and please remember spoiler alerts. I think that this one might have to have multiple threads, but we can figure that out when the time gets closer. Happy reading!
