Sheryl wrote: "I'm new to the group and my uncle recommended this book. I may join but right now I am trying to finish the count of monte cristo."Welcome to the group Sheryl! I'm thinking that starting in June or July might be a better option, if that is ok with Kelly and Cleo. Good luck with The Count, it is a good book, enjoy!

Hello and welcome to the group Casceil! I hope that you enjoy it and find some wonderful new reads! Amazing how those college degrees become a distant memory at times!

I just loaned a book to my mom, and it had one of my magnetic bookmarks in it that I had forgotten about. It was like finding money in the washing machine after a load. Yah!
Ellie wrote: "I've just finished Hot Six by Janet Evanovich, now I'm reading Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell."Hey, I think that Camille was reading Gone With the Wind, not to long ago.
Christine wrote: "Daughter got me hooked on a manga series called Death Note. I thought I would read the first one to get an idea of what she's been reading. I'm on number five now, almost ready for six..."That is usually how it goes! Read one and then get hooked!
Lorna wrote: "Could someone please fix the spelling in this discussion thread title? I know, I'm kind of picky like that."Lol! I must hang my head in shame for that one! Thanks for pointing that out, I'm a terrible speller.

Welcome and I hope that you enjoy the book! I have been pleasantly surprised by many of the choices in this catagory.
Camille wrote: "Reading East of Eden for pleasure and Their Eyes Were Watching God for English class...next on my fathomless list? Not sure yet..."To read lists are fathomless aren't they?

I'm rereading this one.

I want to start to read another book."<
Outlander, another book that has been on my TRL forever!

My son is reading that right now. This is his new fave series."
I don't know why but I was surprised ho..."I have read the series. The funny thing is that we started a discussion thread on this book with this club. It was started when we were still a private group and had 4 members, and all of us were hooked and desperate to read it immediately when it came out. It is still there under group discussions, if you would like to participate/discuss. It isn't a classic, but at the time we just wanted to discuss it as a group, I guess that is the joy of being a moderator! (ha)

Lisa, as I read it, I keep thinking what a wonderful person the narrator is. I wish I knew someone like him when I was a child. I'll have to research Milne and see i..."I must agree Mo. I thought how patient the person was and creative.

Hmmm, I think that I need to get a copy of it to figure out how the book is divided. Maybe, do it as a summer read, let's go until end of August. How does that sound?

I'm sorry to say that I had never even heard of this book until Kerri picked it. I can't wait to read it.

This is the children's read for May. Post comments and remember spoiler alerts. Just from reading the description, it sounds like a funny one!

Would you two like to put this under a buddy read? Then you could start different threads for each story. Does that interest you? I also wanted to throw my hat into this one, it sounds like a great read.

Alright Kelly, when would you like to start this? I'm good with whenever. Is May too soon?

This is the group read for July and another author that is part of the author challenge. Since this is a longer book, it might be nice to have this one two months ahead to get started on it. Post comments here and please remember spoiler alerts. I think that this one might have to have multiple threads, but we can figure that out when the time gets closer. Happy reading!
