I was wondering if you had a hard time reading the first and last parts of the book due to the grammar and punctuation?
I finished this yesterday and it left me rather sad. It is a good book, I have never seen the movie "Charlie", so I can't compare that. It is a book that at certain parts it was hard to read. Rather reminded me of the movie "Awakenings". Can't wait to discuss this with others.
This is the children's group read for July and August, since this time of year seems to just get crazy!
This is the nominated group read for July. Please remember spoiler alerts during the early part of the discussion. Happy reading!
Alright, let's just do Flowers for July and Cholera in August. That is easy to figure out. Although, isn't Cholera a rather long book? If so, maybe we should read it in two months. Thanks Emily and Sorento for nominating!
I feel for Fanny right now. It would be hard to be shuffled around to relatives like a piece of furniture. It is nice that Edmund has taken on the role of confidant, once she lost her brother, but the moral superiority of the adults is rather hard to take.

Everyman- I'm sorry about accidentally deleting our comments above, I need to remember that the delete button is below the comment, not above.
It is time for some nominations for the July group read. The nominating period will run until June 8th. Please no more than two nominations per person and the vote will from June 9th-June 13th. That should give most people enough time to pick up the book by July 1st. Thanks!
This is the children's read for June. Please remember spoiler alerts until the middle of the month and happy reading!
Alright, that sounds like a winner for June. We can decide on the other ones during the month. Thanks everyone!
Thanks for the discussion everyone, this time of the year is nuts for me. Hilary, generally by about the middle of the month, I figure in depth discussion is fine. If you are reading it, then you should be close to being done at that point and if not, then you can use the spoiler link under the (some html is ok).
