22225 John, you ponder your reads quite a bit. I guess that I spend so much time reading I don’t have the time to bask in the literary afterglow of any particular book. I have never been able to multitask so every minute I don’t read I spend on living, loving and life.

22225 Shannon, That explains my problem. I don't think I will ever feel that I have too many books but I know I don't have enough space.

22225 I’ll take that as a compliment and will be duly flattered.

22225 Joseph, I'm sorry to hear of your internet troubles... At least your reading lamp is working.

22225 I waited all of yesterday for Joseph to kick off a new month of purchases and was left wondering if he is enjoying a well deserved vacation. Then the thought hit me: Why don't I do it myself? So here it is.

22225 I am forever thankful that my TBR list is keeping pace with my actual reading accomplishments (in other words: the first is growing faster than the second). I am always looking to expand my book collection and new authors.

22225 I have recently reorganized my library and removed doubles. With the addition of two double bookcases I thought I would now have room to spare. I was wrong. Unlike Joseph I have a partner that draws a line as to where I can store my books. I must admit that she does let me store some books outside of my library but the naked truth is that I will have to come up with a radical solution if I want to continue (which of course I will) collecting books. I have recently taken pictures of my library but have no idea how to put them on Goodreads. If anyone knows how I would appreciate the information. This seems like as good a place as any to show off the libraries that I am sure we are rightly proud of. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours!

22225 A few months ago I realized that I needed to organize my library. I had piles of books stacked everywhere and I kept adding more and more. I’ve spent a couple of weeks rearranging my books and getting rid of doubles (about 100). Now I can actually find what I’m looking for. I should have done it ages ago. I told you that story as a preamble to this. Whereas I may have a space problem in my library at home, (I’ve thought about buying a farm and using the barn as a library) my virtual library (Kindle Cloud) is limitless. I have about 800 books waiting for my undivided attention. Isn’t life great?

22225 That is a strange thought...yet somehow it is also comforting.

22225 I am presently on schedule: 115 of 150 books or 77% or 46 books ahead. I have made allowances for the World Cup and the upcoming NFL season. I will probably increase my goal (as I have done the last four years) to 200 but not yet...I don't want to bite off more than I can chew and reading under pressure takes some of the fun out of the endeavor.
